You're right. and they're management system is flawed beyond comprehension. There are creators up there that have been TOS "violators" and untouched for years, and yet these little indie guys get picked off. Can't accuse, but I can smell some sort of pay-to-play happening there. Hate those sites. If you stand back and look at the overall damage they've done to the creative community it makes me nauseous. If there is anything in my personally flawed character I absolutely wish failure upon, it's these stinking patron sites.
He's a dirtbag IMO. I guess you can argue that he had a shithole role model and upbringing that made him that way. He has no idea how to treat women to be sure. But you have to understand that goes again to the point. A lot of Main characters throughout history have been evil, awful people. Sometimes (not in this case, but) authoring the antagonist that way is intentional and goes to the plot. The idea is to let the creator's ideas flow. Follow the work for its value to your tastes and then decide for yourself if this creator will get your attention moving forward. There are works out there by authors I admire which I've closed the cover on after a chapter. Doesn't mean the author is a bad author. Doesn't mean that I'm in the majority or minority when it comes to that opinion. Doesn't mean I won't read the author's next book. Just means the work wasn't to my taste. I can critique it publicly, give my reasons why, but assaulting the creator or even the concept, or for that matter others who disagree with my position would serve nothing but to display that I have a narrow point of view.
