Great game and had been waiting for an update to come along but one thing is like to ask is why do you have the MC being such selfish narcissistic douche? Fine team away from home only gave a shit about him/herself, didn't give a shot leaving the sister behind all because the stepmother didn't give enough love! Didn't have anything to with the wanker father drank, beat and raped her all the time it was all the step mums fault so the prick runs away leaves sis and let the beatings continue them comes back hasn't grown up at all still a narcissistic wanker not giving the stepmum any support, so doesnt think of gives a shit about what happened to anyone else because mummy was mean! Didn't have anything to with the fact that she saw a bastard of a husband when looking him.
Sorry for rant but could maybe make the MC more compassionate. Love the game but I absolutely just want the MC to get hit by a truck and smeared on the road......

I don't know what to say, but I guess maybe you should play again and read all the dialogue.
MC's dad was long dead at the time he/she ran away.
Rachel abused MC (which started after MC's dad died).
Rachel was a good mom for Ellie, so no need to worry about her (she's Rachels daughter after all, while MC is not).
Rachel was in some way for MC what MC's dad was for her, obviously not as much, but still...

I don't think anyone would want to give someone "love" who abused them, they would hate them, try to get away from them, some may even try to get back at the abuser in some way or another. That's not narcistitc, that's simple logic, it's human.

No, they ran away.
Without even speaking with Ellie before leaving.
It's why Ellie also left just after MC departure, surely to find them. But she went missing for some time (a couple of days I think, I don't remember). She finally was found, but has not spoken since.
