Then read the previous page here again (589). Recreation gave us the 0.8.5 Update with some new content (not much but hey, it´s there). But the Update had an Error (animations were missing) so he did a Fix for this but didn´t rename the Update. So it´s still 0.8.5 with some new content but the animations now work correctly.

Okay I don't know why I didn't play this game so far... but I am definitely hooked. Have been busy the whole afternoon until late in the evening. It's awesome and the last scene was so alluring, I don't know how it could be better

Story was captivating. I am not sure whether I approve of the sandbox stuff, but it was not tedious, so whatever =)

Several things, mostly font and readability related. There's a color picker for the text, a few options for text outlines, etc. I've also slightly changed the code that switches the animations.
I think most shouldn't interfere with your mod, but I've never really looked that deep into your mod, so I can't say I'm a 100% sure about it.

This is already auto-pushed to Steam, correct?

Never update RenPy during the VN phase once it's started... always asking for trouble. I can point you to about a dozen VN's I mod on that the dev teams have done that and every single one of them borked their shit... including folk's old saves, etc. Wicked nastiness that's difficult for even me to resolve... and it's my job.

The thing is that I was trying to fix something language related, and the newer version had "some" fix for exactly that. In the end it wasn't was I hoped it would be though, so it was all for nothing...

Ok, I may be doing something wrong. I have the new 8.5 file, with Sancho for 8.1 (which is supposed to be compatible), but it ends at 8.1's end and will go no further. I had started the download of the old 8.5 file, but I'm pretty sure that one didn't finish downloading.

When trying play without Sancho's Mod, I get an error and it boots me back to the beginning of the game.

Did you use a 0.8(.0) save?

No, I used an 0.8.1 save.

If you loaded that up in 0.8.1 it might've worked, but it won't work in .5 and later versions.

That seems to be the case for me, at least. Using a 8.1 save with SanchoMod. No idea if you need or want to see this, just tagging you in case you do Sancho1969 If not, please just get back to your whiskey.

8.5 without the 8.1 mod gives me a traceback on loading a save from the end of 8.1, ignoring it starts a new playthrough and rolling back crashes the game.

8.5 with the 8.1 SanchoMod loads the save, I have to click a few times to advance (nothing happens at first) then the game ends as it would in 8.1, I don't get to the new scene.
All the saves tested were manual saves, not quick or auto if that matters.

Yes, I've had problems with mods lagging behind before. Sometimes, the Mod will not go beyond what it thinks is the end of the update, as well as (in this case) the modded save files don't work with an unmodded game. I guess I need to be patient and wait for the mod to catch up (or play from the beginning again).

Confirmed the Bad Memories - Gallery Unlocker Mod works correctly for v0.8.5-fix.

Some, not all. These are my results with loading saves in 0.8.5-fix (no mod in use).

Game version	Ren'Py version	Loading saves
0.7.6	(7, 4, 11)	Rollback error.
0.8	(7, 5, 3)	Loads correctly.
0.8.1	(7, 5, 3)	Loads, but rolls back to the start of the label.
0.8.5	(7, 6, 0)	No saves.
0.8.5-fix	(7, 5, 3)	Loads correctly.

When trying without the mod, did you run Sancho's SaveFixer?
