From the outset of the game, everything has proceeded as if I had chosen the other option. What on earth is going on?I'm playing the compressed version with the walkthrough mod, and so far, three of my choices haven't been saved correctly. The first two involved Jayden, he told his mom I pinned the blame on him and didn’t pay him the bonus I promised, even though I followed the walkthrough and chose the options that should have done the opposite. The third one was the choice between the two girls at the beach. I picked the one with the hat and glasses, but the game continued as if I had picked the other girl. These are the only outcomes I've noticed, I’m not even sure if my other choices were registered properly. Is the game scripted to play out this way, making the choices just an illusion? Or could it be an issue with the compressed version or the walkthrough mod?
The game is "a bit" buggy. Also choices are saved as persistent variables. So global indepent of save. So if you choose different before that could explain it, or the game just saved the wrong value. From the outset of the game, everything has proceeded as if I had chosen the other option. you can't fix the saves with URM, because on top of them being saved to persistent, dev is mixing up true and false all the time. for example persistent.blamedJamie0104 being False gives the car scene where he complains more about MC. and that happens with most variables at some point - not at others though. Can you use URM to change the persistent variables?
If the dev had a two monitor setup, he could easily have the game on one with URM and the script file on the other and play-test the game that way to see which variables are being called and adjust as required. I haven't touched this game for a few updates, seeing all these errors being reported in the thread, not sure how the dev/testers manages to miss all this.you can't fix the saves with URM, because on top of them being saved to persistent, dev is mixing up true and false all the time. for example persistent.blamedJamie0104 being False gives the car scene where he complains more about MC. and that happens with most variables at some point - not at others though.
at other points, he misses checks: HesitantToBuyThePenthouse = 0 can mean you went with Sandy and ended the scene early or didn't go at all, but later doesn't check which it is.
you could ignore all variables and pick all your choices from the URM menu to get the scenes you should be seeing, but that really breaks any kind of immersion or flow.
I am not on any different path i just straightup playing but still happening to me the same thingsWalkthrough mod dev here.
It's bad/terrible coding choice from the game dev's side, really. You can't have multiple saves for multiple paths for this game, since variables are saved to persistent ("global") storage - as in, the same "save" area as game preferences and achievements (including available replay gallery items) - not as regular variables that will be saved along in the save files. Honestly, the only thing save files are good for in this game, is to just pick up from where you last left off.
To see different paths, you essentially have to start over from the beginning, and even that isn't guaranteed to work properly (only if those variables are reset when you reach the next choice available).
Sneak past her. That's the only way that will work. On the next choice, any hiding place will do (both will work), and on the final choice of that quest, put sedatives in the security guard's coffee. These are the choices that will lead to successfully completing that mission. Please help me, how do I get through this?
This is exactly what I always do and I still get a message at the end that I failed and have to try again.Sneak past her. That's the only way that will work. Approaching the receptionist will only lead to a failed mission (you do get to retry at that point, though), and NOT sedating the security guard will lead to game over.
can you update this hero?BaddiesInc-0.1.15-pc-GalleryUnlocker
This will work for this game.
Unzip the file and put it in the "game folder" in the game directory.
Edit: There could be some "images not found" issues. This is a generic unlocker.
