I've had the Vikingfile malicious popup as well anytime I've clicked links directing there but being cautious as I am I just don't go through with it and instead use the other links provided. I personally hate Pixel due to the download limitation but if I have to suffer through it then so be it.

It's one thing I'm grateful for, people providing a variety of other links to use.
That's right, it's definitely not a Vikingfile issue. Many sites will still have pop-ups even if we use AdBlock. We just need to be careful, even if we can't resist wanting to see Ahri.

Well then you probably did read these #1,512, #1,551

"Adblock is by no means a real security solution."

It is tho.
I use Adblock + uBlock + integrated into browser Ad Blocker + there are lots of security settings build in the browser.
I don't actually know if they stack at all, or make it better or worse :p but it's been working so far.
I havent seen an ad or pop-up links in years.

And if a website is actually malicious, your browser just wont let you in or will give you a warning at least.

Ps. Thread will indeed need a clean up
This along with hosting your own DNS server is my general method. The DNS server does the heavy lifting, ad blockers usually catch whatever is missed.
