You've been an F95 member for about two minutes. So I'm going to go ahead and check my paying Patron list...strange, I don't see your name? Oh, wait here it is, its under my "could give two shits less about your free riding ass opinion" list.
Clearly he's getting under your skin.
Maybe just do a better job of ignoring that particular guy, then you won't be too resentful to create more Natalie/Mallorie/Sofia content.

You are right. I am a grown ass (old) man and I let my emotions and stressors of IRL influence my response. I can only control my response and emotions. Scratching the surface of King Thanos comment is a fan who is passionate about the game and is frustrated at it's slow development. There are many ways he could have expressed his passion for the game and frustration in a more constructive manor, but I can only control me, not him.

Sadly, his comment doesn't change anything. It doesn't pay me more, it doesn't change my life, it doesn't lead to quicker development etc. Just screaming at clouds. At the end of the day it isn't us milking (we haven't taken money in a year), it's not us making so much money we just aren't motivated (we barely ever cracked $400 a month ( on an hourly basis literally working for pennies an hour), it's just life fucking changes. If any of you are in the exact same spot you were five years ago with no one dead, married, moved, new job/unemployed...fucking get on your knees and thank baby Jesus.

IDK I assume the people who struggle with this concept the most are people who haven't lived an adult life yet, fuck if I know.

So, I guess this an apology to the King Thanos but, dude...

Threadnaught here ya go homie...

No apologizing dude. Some people need to be bitch slapped! The lack of new content is frustrating to those of us who hope to see more, but that doesn't excuse the incessant bleating from the cheap seats.

I don't know how Devs control themselves with some of the shit that is posted here (I couldn't do it). I can shit on a dev with the best of them, but only when it's deserved. Not just sprouting shit.

I know of at least 2 devs that had decided to leave F95 and went scorched earth on everyone that had bullshitted or attacked them before leaving. One of them I was chatting with while he was doing it. He was having a great time and found it very satisfying and therapeutic. :ROFLMAO:

In addition to that, I'm guessing he's probably been left disappointed or "burned" by previous devs. After that happens, you'd usually just learn to proceed with more caution that things might not work out for whatever reason while judging things on a case-by-case basis for the most part. Instead of "on" or "off", it's more like a scale.

It's an overcompensation for being made to feel like an idiot before or just being jaded by the devs who have actually pulled that kind of shit. Although, off the top of my head I think there are very few devs who I'd consider to be "milking" anyway. Instead of taking context into the situation and looking for more concrete evidence, it becomes easier to just write something off if progress slows down. Dumbasses, essentially.

That one is for sure milking but those are pretty rare due to the fact that there aren't that many getting rich off of it let alone making enough to do it full-time.
I mostly agree, but you don't have to make banks to be called milking. Even though the cow is thin you can still milk her. A "free" $100 a month is not much but it's still free money for no work

To be clear, we haven't charged in over a year. To milk one has to squeeze the teat for milk.
Would there be any hope of getting an update within the first half of 2025? Or would the onhold be even longer than that you think?

There ARE definitely plenty of milking games (not just forever between updates, but dragged out for years with little to no H content ones, too.) But when there's no charge, there's no even attempting to milk.

Some people just get too entitled about their porn games, and it's always the freeloaders. Call me naive or an easy mark or whatever, but I find it way more pleasant and more importantly sane to go about life as if the users/devs on the other side of the screen are just normal people, running into life shit like the rest of us. If you're paying out of pocket to support a dev and decide you're no longer pleased with the work or no longer trust them, well it's definitely more sympathetic. If you aren't paying, or have never payed, then who even asked you? Just go find something else to jerk off to, you've literally lost nothing lmao

Legit no reason for entitlement or disrespect towards devs, especially when they are good about pausing their support page when there's no progress being made on the game, as is the case for BoB. Thankfully the few users who misbehave seem to be a small minority, hopefully heavily outweighed by the positive support from everyone else.

I do understand a certain propensity of negativity towards those infamous handful of creators who keep cashing in from supporters and supposedly working on a once promising game - while actually just churning out a set of new renders every month. But that's a very specific circumstance.

Agreed. It's being generous to estimate 80% of games end up leaving the fans burnt. This isn't even an H game thing, as Kickstarter and such has even a worse track record.

This is a lot of projection and cope. Whether this is a hobby or a purely professional path for the dev is irrelevant. This is a FINANCIAL venture for them. They get paid. How much is dictated by us, the consumers. Hell, even if its a paying customer or not doesn't matter. Word of mouth is word of mouth and it will hurt or help your game, regardless. They could (and arguably should) go back to a purely transactional relationship if they don't like it. It still won't stop word of mouth from hurting them if the product is bad.

Thus those "freeloaders" opinions matter just as much as anyone else's. I support GOOD products, but I don't support bad products. And many of those "freeloaders" share my opinions. They're not wrong, Their minds aren't skewed by not paying for it. Bad is bad, and there have been several games on this site that I dl'd for free and felt ripped off if only due to the data consumption and time investment.

Personally, you'd never see this username on Patreon bc I don't use it any where else. I pulled it out of my ass randomly to use on a site I randomly found while searching for the first H game I saw that I felt had value as a game. At that point, I'd never have given an AVN a side-eyed glance. Now, I think with the exception of Future Fragments, I almost exclusively support VN's. Even if there is an email attached to this account, it would be a burner I use so my main email doesn't get slammed with spam. And even the IP address this site registers isn't mine, as I use VPN's.

Good on you for pausing payments. That's not something that should earn you praise, though. That's the bare minimum a person should do once they enter into a social contract where you are receiving payment for your continued work on a project.

Question though - if you worked a motel making beds or at a Wall Street investment firm, which employer will be more upset with you failing to show up and do your job? One job often gets away paying under minimum wage, the other pays way above. I'll tell you, they'd be equally upset and their reaction would be identical.

You've got DPC making the biggest AVN in the world all by himself and clearly struggled to get to where he is. And then you have 10-15 man teams that give up by the time they get their first update out. You're a content creator. Be it Youtube, TicTok, or indy H games, CONTENT IS KING.

As you pointed out yourself, we've all gone through some shit over the years. Personally, I only ever briefly allowed those things to temporarily distract me from my responsibilities and it taught me to prepare contingencies for such scenarios in the future. If you want this to be a successful endeavor, YOU have to find ways to deliver the content. Otherwise, people will forget you and your project ever existed before you even gave yourself the chance to succeed. Otherwise, you and your partner take all the time in the world and release it in a completed state some years in the future.

You all know most people find games here and check them out BEFORE they become Patrons, right? That's how I found all the ones I do. Quite a few just aren't worth paying for and others would be, but I couldn't afford to patron all the ones I think are good. With too slow burn AND more than a year without an update, this isn't one I'd consider. On Hold more often than not becomes "abandoned."

We are not asking for support at this time and haven't for over a year. Thanks though.

I just popped here after like a year and a bit and just wondered if any elaboration could be made on why it is on hold as I did enjoy this game. Even a generic thing like personal reasons etc should suffice just share what is comfortable
