Hey, I can't load a save from previous version. Is there some workaround?

From .20 or 21 the game has update engine and this 24 has more items and interactions and ending of penketh and intro of grassmere .30 in two update get ending grassmere.

Yeah seems like the new game isn't just "recommended" - the old saves simply don't load.

Well i guess that's it for the update. Takes way too long to replay everything.

Just started it. So save files from 0.20c don't work at all? If so, I will delete it. Don't have the time to do everything again, as this game is quite slow with all the transitions etc.

Guys old walkthrough not work now. The new update have big changes and more combinations maths

.25 has leffrin story update in work

In .30 end of grassmere have ending of that arc and then we going end all travel missions.

Yeah, I guess it's because Grassmare intro starts early on the story. At least you get to play new content before redoing everything.

Okay but how many hours do you have to play through old content? Before seeing something new, and then again hours over hours of old content again?

This isn't a RenPy VN where you just need to hold down CTRL and can play through 10 hours of dialogues in 2 minutes. You have minigames, fights, traveling, even the sex scenes take their while to progress through.

And you definitely need a walkthrough, because you otherwise get into routes you didn't want, and miss content you can't access afterwards. I was actually glad of having an old savegame with at least all the relevant routes completed.

And then we have second business with lvl 5 and 4 depending of 3 path

Well... it took like half an hour to complete the prologue in skip mode. So you can't actually "skip it" per se, this is misleading.

Of course you can't save before making any decisions during story scenes. Asked Irena if the claim is fabricated? Uh-oh, already lost loyalty. Finish the scene just so you can reload and repeat.

So many decisions where it isn't even clear what their impact will be in future game versions. Can you even have sex with Irena when she's the cousin of the MC? Marry her? Why stay on her good side? Can you become Duke yourself instead?

Why do the MCs thoughts have mutually exclusive results on something which isn't even in the game?
I remember even being locked out with some of the maids because of a random decision.

Then the game sends you to Penketh first, and i really don't want to play through all this again just for some vague hints at two new scenes in Grassmere.

Another real bummer:

If you overwrite any of the old savegames, they still have the old timestamp and name. Makes it very confusing to see your latest saves dating to 2020.

You also cannot delete saves within the game, so you needed to track down the Appdata folder and delete the old saves manually.

Look, I'm not happy about it. Specially for a game like this with so many branches old saves should always work.
I just try to be positive because as a small dev myself I hate when you work hard and people start to shit on your work. And also I like the game and I want to see it completed some day.

You can use control shift to fastforward, go to Penketh, made a deal, go back to Leffrin to report to Irena and from there go to Grassmare. It's like 10 minutes maybe less if your pc works right.

Besides that, Grassmare intro is quite good. Bianca became my favorite inmediately. I have to say, royal lineage and a huge ass is a good combo.

for becoming the duke yourself dev did tell me that yes it can in the future, even betraying her or side with the rival.

also the save incompatible because dev change engine or something.
