Well, this was a fair disappointment. I played up to victory road. And quite frankly, it's honestly a bit of a pain in a lot of aspects, which together make this a slog. The only real positive thing I can say about it is that is has a huge amount of HCG, but getting to them is a pain in the ass as well.
Until you reach Ecruteak City (which is where the virginity loss event is) you get like 5 lukewarm scenes, some of which only if you lose boss fights. Which brings me to the lewd stat. Getting lewd points is awful. Some boss fights have a scene upon defeat and then there're some NPCs with their own story line (progressing as you get a higher lewd value), but there are plenty of boss fights that are so far out that I didn't want to lose it because getting back there would have been annoying. You can buy repels but reapplying them is really annoying because you have to go back to the menu, and then it plays the fucking visual effect every time. It's not long. But it adds up. I'm with those who are annoyed at the fact that every map is basically a pokemon cave, which means encounters are possible everywhere outside of towns (and during some sections, even the towns have random encounters).
Battles are incredibly slow. Some of the animations are so long. I seriously wish they copied Pokemon a bit more here and allowed turning the battle effects off. This annoyed me a lot during the Team Rocket section in Mahogany Town because there were so many required battles. It's so fucking slow. This only gets aggravated by the game basically telling you to farm random encounters for drops so you can craft the TMs. If you played the game as intended, you'd lose actual hours of your day waiting for battle animations to finish, if you put them together. Wild battles are also comparatively stronger than in normal pokemon so you don't OHKO anything pretty much, even if it's super effective.
I also found the capture mechanics to be really annoying. The pokemon would escape the pokeballs even if they were at really low HP. Thanks for nothing, I guess.
Going back to not losing boss fights: This limits you tremendously. Not wanting to go through an entire area a second time because you wanted to collected the scene (you can buy it afterwards so you don't lose it) means you lose out of lewd points. You can not farm them with NPC events. In fact, I didn't even bother checking if losing to the same boss twice would have the scene reoccur with you gaining more lewd points of if it's just a one-time thing here too. It wouldn't surprise me.
If you want to unlock scenes through gameplay, my honest advice would honestly be to forget it, lol. It's one of the biggest slogs I've recently seen in these kind of games. You have to pretty much lose every boss fight in order to get all the scenes through regular play, otherwise you won't reach the requirements for the NPC scenes. And even then, each scene (besides the virginity loss, from what I have seen) only give 1 or 2 lewd point out of 150. And there are a lot fo scenes that require like 70-80 lewd points, but get locked out after a certain point in the story for regular play.
I feel like the game would have benefitted greatly from condensing it. You don't get a bike to move around faster like in Pokemon, so you're stuck with the fairly slow running speed. God I hate RPGs where you move at a snail's pace. It was especially bad in Ice Path on the sliding puzzles. In Pokemon your character speeds up, but in this game, you slide at regular walking (not running!) speed. Surf is the same. So having the entire Johto map makes this game feel very empty, despite the huge amount of scenes, but as I said, these are so hard to access because the hentai in this is so unbelievably grindy. And I also don't even want to know how this mess of a plot progresses. It was just not very good at any point.
I saw some people praising the MC for being likeable, but I disagree. The first thing she does when leaving her village is do the one thing that she's not supposed to - interfere in worldly affairs. Like sure, you can argue that the red oni was spiritual after being summoned, but she followed before she had any reason to even assume her part might come. She would have helped even if had been some hidden human assassin. Sure, you have to jumpstart the plot somehow, but this was not the way. It makes little sense inverse. She was specifically told not to trust anyone by the rival character (after they warmed up to each other). And the only thing she does is believe promises by people who have shown 0 reason to be trustworthy. I thought she was really really stupid the moment she left Cherrygrove. This got even worse when
I feel like the presented backstory for her doesn't actually warrant her actions. She hates Samurai for being warmongerers but the first thing she does is help them in war. What? Like sure, not-yet-boyfriend tried to help her and he was so useless that she was sure he'd die. But if she really hated Samurai, she would have just left him. She was nice to him from the start. Even if he seemed valiant, she wasn't convinced even a little bit. Even later after several incidents where he was being a "good guy", she isn't convinced. Her character was turned off for him just so the badly written romance could progress.
The art is fine. It's better than most hentai games. But it's not partciularly dynamic.
Overall this game tries to be a "good game" as awell as a good hentai game. But by trying to do both, it kind of ends up failing for both. He who chases two rabbits catches neither.
If you want a good pokemon ripoff with porn, play YARISUTEMESUBUTA. That thing was chock-full of scenes, and the game isn't a drag either. You also don't have to lose to every boss to see the scenes (since winning unlock them here). Just gotta be immune to Nyuu's excessive amounts of liquid.

played for a few hours and decided to drop this game since it's really a slog
i don't mind many encounters but the leveling rate is so slow that the 4th pokemon i captured outleveled my party when i catch it even though i rarely escape. grinding is also really slow because of the battle animation and you don't win fight as fast as pokemon
I really don't understand why they make this game has pokemon gameplay but decided to just copy gen pokemon, if you want to do it at least be creative not just worse game with added porn. I rather play pokemon and then watch porn later since i would have fun with both rather than spending the same duration for playing this game

You can't. There's no pure vanilla run (NTR is *not* avoidable) and if you want the true ending, you need a minimum of 110 lewdness. Note that the non-dlc portion of the game maxes out at 105 lewdness so the game really expects Honoka to go full slut.
The only plot branching is whether or not you do Kosagi's 120 lewdness event (requires losing to a specific boss in the DLC (past the nugget bridge), then talking to Kosagi again), which slightly alters the ending sequence. The dev is planning to add more scenes in a post-game update (which also includes the superboss) to differentiate the endings

Thanks. I could honestly go on, but at some point it would devolve into nitpicking. If you want a decent NTR game with good art, play Nebel Geisterjäger or the recently uploaded Mirage Defection, but this is not it. It tried too many things with none of them being properly thought through.
110 minimum? Isn't it normally the other way around? True Ending only if you're below a certain threshold? I can't even imagine how the higher lewd stat would benefit boyfriend here when he was the only one who couldn't make her orgasm during sex (as is somehow common practice in NTR).

nope, still black screen inside houses. I'm on the latest patreon build. I did it with the plugin patcher and without plugin patcher with latest github patch/updates of dazed for the game.
I think you're missing a good amount of historical context. This isn't just based off of pokemon, but it's also based on Japanese history, specifically the Sengoku Era. Ryuugen = Oda Nobunaga, Ryuuta = Akechi Mitsuhide, Kosagi = Toyotomi Hideyoshi. In particular, one of Nobunaga's most famous atrocities was the wholesale slaughter of temple monks who opposed him. That Ryuuya was able to avert this event by negotiating with the monks is a particularly big deviation from our history, which is why this is what draws Honoka to him. It's sort of like someone convincing Hitler to not hate the Jews before all the Nazi business started. It also explains why the senior monk's testimony was worthless: temple authority and secular authority were extremely hostile to each other at this point, so a monk covering for the murder of a samurai by a miko is useless.

I understand what you mean, but it doesn't change the fact that the events prior to those negotiations were out of her self-explained character, being a samurai-hater. Moreover, she wasn't convinced about him being actually a good guy even after Violet City. So while some things can be explained by drawing the historical parallels, I still feel like it's extremely poorly written romance and exemplary stupid hentai-brain when it comes to the first Kosagi-scene. Factually, how did they even know she killed the guy without watching the fight? He turned into a monster so they would have had to see her fighting a monster, which they somehow saw as a samurai? Because there was no corpse left behind that turned back into a human. So this entire sequence is still unbelievably stupid and Honoka, if she was a consistently written character, would not have allowed Kosagi to have sex with her.
So the game isn't even complete yet. Fair enough. Guess I'll never know because I won't be continuing even once post game is funny released.
I played this game long time ago, if you wanna experience the NTR better, wait till the MCs become lovers, it shouldnt take too much, its gonna happen after you reach a big city and you have to watch like a theater play or something like that.

I saw how much the gallery had and edited my save to just unlock it all. Here's the save for those who want it.
People saw him enter the building and did not see him leave. Then when Kosagi enters there's signs of a battle. That there's no corpse is meaningless when there's magic involved. Also Honoka solving her problems with sex is very consistent with her character, as while she doesn't know it yet at that point, she's very much a natural slut. In the other H-scenes, it takes shockingly little to convince Honoka to have sex.
As for the Imagawa incident, that's just an example of how Honoka isn't really fully into the teachings about not interfering with the secular world. What she really wants is an end to the violence of the Sengoku era (this is another very common theme in anime/manga/games set in this era). Her intervention to end the battle isn't for the samurai, but for the people in town. Imagawa is straight up called corrupt in the game, so siding with the supposedly non-corrupt side is just the logical thing to do, especially when he summons a demon for her to exterminate.
