So... in theory people can make their own versions of Legacy version (with some reverse engineering) and send it along with a mod pack without an Copyright issue, right?
There are a lot of jaded people eager to be haters. Not that they have no reason to show concern, even if they blow most of it out of proportion. That being said, good communication and transparency from Kom would go a long way to quelling concerns. His occasional tantrums when people stir him up (and some of them are very intentionally stirring him up) are absolutely not helping his image. Whatever his damage is, he lets it cause him to be self-destructive from time to time.
Like I mentioned earlier, Legacy still exists. Kom/Bunfan just isn't distributing it anymore. It can still be shared around, and you can even still get it in the game's Discord.

As far as I know, that ain't legal of him to do.
If he so much as deletes the game despite getting funding for it and people purchasing it, that on its own is not legal.
Citation needed. Though also, you could probably have been more specific about which part of all that you were saying isn't legal.

All because he himself can't handle a person or two being negative about it, and treats every single person even remotely interested in the game as being the spawn of satan. Already witnessed him banning people on his discord before for random stuff, esp. anything even remotely critical of him.
The game is a publicly funded project via patreon and itch, it not even being free, the money being meant to go directly towards the project.
If Komdog wants to stop working on it in its entirety, he has to publicly announce it before halting progress or running off, and in both cases the project has to be left up, even in its abandoned state.
Him threatening those that fund the project and holding it hostage, is not legal, and already automatically breaks the ToU of Patreon. Even after something as simple as Komdog completely scrapping the game, he can be held legally liable for a breach of contract. People also already paid for progress on the "legacy" version of the game, so they need to have access to it.
And, if people are funding his project, he has an obligation to share progress on it and give access, yet again doing the opposite could make him legally liable.
Then there's the fact, that running off with patreon money could ensure a nice way to get sued for fraud.
Thank you for the clarifications. Not everyone is reasonable enough to back up what they're talking about with good examples, and just kind of spit hearsay.
Projects with funding tied up in crowdfunding tend to get away with things due to the sites themselves abdicating responsibility for what happens (as long as the site rules are followed otherwise). But yes, the more of a public figure that Kom is, which he is becoming more and more known as he goes, the more on the hook he could be if someone wanted to retaliate for not meeting the obligations of deals he set up to take funding in exchange for progress and releases of content.

It finally happened, lads. Apparently Kirbykid crashed out so hard, and lashed out at a member, that he was banned from the server. So the CUM build is dead as far as I or everyone else knows at the moment.

It's just as stated. No really knows why. But, so far, Kom isn't involved. Looking at the logs from kirby.
Yesterday, Kirbykid was just in a bad mood for unknown reasons, as far as I can gather it seemed to be some internal drama outside of the server with ex-members of the server, something about World-Z(Ex bb modder), and Revived DN(Ex bb modder). It's VERY vague. But some context clues indict some drama happened over in a server with those three, leading to kirby's depression.
Then he lashed out at a member, who hasn't liked World-Z for a long time, cause apprently, World-Z asked some people in the server to tell that person to stop. They had a back and forth argument, that led to Kirby getting VERY depressed. As a result, the member who argued with him got muted for I think a day. But, it is unknown what happened after this... It's assumed something happened outside the server, maybe dm's, but somehow Kirby broke guidelines and can no longer be in the server.
I'll take some snippets from what I've seen...
Edit: I believe the Mega Link to Cum build has been taken down by Kirby himself
Edit: It has been confirmed, or at least told that Kirbykid wanted to be banned himself, and may come back after 1-2 months.

This is false, he wanted to be banned since he got tired and asked a mod to ban him.
If only the stupid Italian redditor (Oz or Lorenzo) would shut the fuck up, Kirby would be fine. But he isn't since this stupid fucking clown (Oz) always likes to fuck around with anyone. for the love of god, World-Z was banned months or even years ago for some other drama (I know you are reading this Z) and yet is still being mentioned on the main server. Everything from the last 2-3 years until now is just sad how this bbooru fan project (official fork dead for months but still waiting for that E621 clone), beat banger community is unstable. What im saying is, this place and the server is a complete mess. Anyhow, Good Day or Night. I don't want to hear anymore drama going on so leave me out of this (Also, not blaming anyone other then Oz for this mess)
