It's a pre-set that comes with the Voss Hair. Else if your working with something else, different products come with different bells and wistles. With strand based hair however, can always clear the texture and set the "Base Color" to what ever you want. Can't do as much with it, but will produce what ever single color you want.

But if you have MMX's Strand based hair shader or even Colorwerks Extreme, you can do a ton of things with hair color, including streaks, fades, patterns, etc. Matter of fact Strand based and MMX with some work lets you use even more than two colors.

Here is Voss hair using the custom CWX shader and a striped mask.

Afraid not, there wasn't much initial interest in this thread so we move on to other things before really hunting down any assets. If you find out though, please post it! :D
