Dante_5646 I swear I’m about to pay for the premium version just to leak it, because seriously, I’m sick of people trying to make money through paywalls—especially with porn content they don’t even own the rights to, and on top of that, profiting from it. I can understand things like cheat modes, early access, faster updates… But this? Hell no. This game honestly deserves to go down. And I’m not joking. I might actually leak it.
People hate downloading content that they cannot access!!Some reviews are unfair, others are very well argued. Whether I like them or not, I always respect everyone's opinion, both good and bad. But this one, besides being unfair, I don't understand it, and I think it deserves a response.
And I don't plan to respond with words alone, although I would love to argue, because many developers are seen as "people who put .mp4 files in html" and I think that's unfair and cruel. But since I've been here for several years, we can look at my actions, not my words

- Leak the game? Great idea! But I wonder, who was the first to leak it?
I used to spend part of my free time making modified versions that included subscriber content and uploading them here

- What if the entire game were leaked? Would the "greedy dev" be upset? Let's see
Three years ago, the full version was leaked on Mopoga. That was my response

- More? Here's one from 2021

- This is what happened to the last person who leaked my game:
You could go to my Patreon and see that the +$10 codes haven't changed in years (yes, years!)
Why? Because I want any subscriber to be able to pay $10 and then downgrade to the $5 tier while maintaining the benefits of the higher tier.
Not to mention that the $20 tier has no additional benefits over the $10 tier. It's a tier whose purpose is to say, "Hey, I liked your game, here's a tip"
There are many other examples like these, which I will not look for because I do not think they are necessary
- I’m sick of people trying to make money through paywalls
The part where you say (basically) that my content is essentially stealing mp4 files and profiting from them. Well, all I can say is that my life was difficult. My first job was smuggling goods across the border between two countries when I was 12 years old (yes, it sounds crazy, but it's true). I still find this job "challenging". It's the only way I can express that the work of many developers like me isn't just downloading mp4 files and throwing them into a video tag.
Where did an ad pop-up asking you to subscribe in order to play? Where does progress with a main character get blocked unless you pay?
- Paywalls
This is what the game says, you can check it out for yourself:

This was the phrase that made me write all this. It's chilling to talk about throwing away someone's work as if it were nothing. Not to mention that in a world where censorship is becoming more and more prevalent, I would think that this type of game should be supported. But I want to believe that if this forum exists, it's because the majority thinks differently
- "This game honestly deserves to go down"
Let's skip the fact that BTD has cheat codes that are literally free (no need to enter commands or do anything complicated. You get the cheats as if you were a subscriber).
- I can understand things like cheat modes, early access, faster updates… But this? Hell no
What I offer my subscribers is EXTRA content. The entire game is free, available online and offline, and can be played on a mobile phone, tablet, or computer. No one will charge you, and no one can take it away from you once you have downloaded it.
Now, and this is very important. Why is there so much "extra content"?!
Because there are monthly updates, on the last Friday of every month, no excuses, no burnout, no breaks, no vacations. I work hard to provide a lot of content, and what's worse is that this generates comments like this
There are developers who keep their accounts open for a year without any new content, milking their subscribers, doing surveys like, "Hey guys, what would you like to see to subscribe to my new $50 tier?". That's why you see that the benefits for subscribers are fewer with them
Anyway, I hope this changes your mind (which is unlikely, but I have nothing to lose by trying), and gives you another perspective. Most developers don't earn a penny for 1 or 2 years. Some never make it at all. Are there some greedy ones? Yes. But most of them are just people who do something they enjoy and share it with others
Hey relax man, it’s just a comment from some random guy like me, sharing a critique of your work. Good or bad, that’s all it is: a critique. No, I’m not going to leak your game and honestly, I don’t have to. Your game is in a download database, mostly public; if you know where to look, you can get it. Or even better, rewrite the code in Visual Studio Code and you're set. That’s what I did, I’ve got an HTML version modified by me. Don’t worry, I’m not going to drop it here. If you went through all that trouble to write that long ass post, it’s because you genuinely care. And hey, we all gotta hustle however we can to make a buck. Some reviews are unfair, others are very well argued. Whether I like them or not, I always respect everyone's opinion, both good and bad. I appreciate the feedback. I have always been open to continuing to upload modified versions, but no one requested them again.Hey relax man, it’s just a comment from some random guy like me, sharing a critique of your work. I have to admit though, deleting my comment really pissed me off. First, because like I said, it’s just criticism, and whether you like it or not, when you share your work publicly, you have to deal with it. And second, because a lot of people actually agreed with some of the points I made, and I have a right to express myself. Of course, always respectfully, without insulting.
Like I said, I’m just a random dude. I hack, crack, code... but I’ve never paid for anything even remotely virtual in my life, so I’m not your target audience. But the people who are commenting and saying they’re unhappy and really wanted a full version, they are. It’s fine to offer extra perks to your subscribers, but don’t forget that the majority of your audience doesn’t see that. Maybe think about releasing a full version after three or four updates. That way, people who want to pay to get it early can, and those who don’t will at least know that someday they’ll get the full content too. And hey, who knows, maybe I’d even pay at some point.
That’s it, I talk too much. A hug and good luck, from a random guy.
scarlett snowwho is the 11thgirl in the phone store (sarah is the name that was used in the game)???
