Yeah it's usually a good idea to do the rough camera placement early so you can keep track of what you can and can't see. When i started doing this the speed at which i pose went up a lot because i stopped spending time on spots that were invisible.
Another tip would be to not cut off the characters head. Moving the camera back a little or increasing the focal length/width might help!
