I agree with you. But also mc might be freeking out because he recejct Jade and thinks she hate him because he hurt her feelings. Now he is in her place for a friend who needs her help and thinking she might not help her because of him to spit him. I don't think it was a case of the mc could see he was fucking them up already and needed to do something. It was more of a case that he realised if he took it further with all of them it would be fucked. He was starting to get serious with all of them. That's just asking to get castrated in the long run.
When the mc stopped Jade from giving him the footjob she threatened him:
Jade: "You should spend the time left in this class reading and be {b}quiet{/b}..."Jade: "That way I might not fail you..."
In other words: "You tell anyone about this and you're fucked". Of course she had way more to lose than him.
When she sees him at the prep party her reaction is:
Jade: "Hmph..."
I believe the next time she spoke to him directly was when she gave him a passing grade, and she was extremely curt:
Jade: "Fuckface. Pass. Next."
So sure, he kept his head down and put that shit behind him, but then to find out it's his good friend/girlfriend's mom! I mean, put yourself in his shoes. You're off to meet your (girl)friend's parents, only to find out the mom is a teacher who sexually assaulted you... Sure it's a porn game, we want teachers (at least the female ones) to sexually assault the mc, but if we're trying to find reasons for behaviour, what Jade did was really fucked up.
And once again, we've had an entire fucking year to let all that sink in. The mc walked into it and suddenly when he realised it was Jade, he panicked. He went there to help Maya out and suddenly it looks like it's gonna be very awkward.
That's an OK reaction in my book.
But what comes next matters more.
We know the mc locks himself in the bathroom, and its independent of all of his relationships: Worst case he's been fucking both and has recently dumped one, if not both of them. Even this situation is salvageable. Jade's not about to let on that she's been doing anything with the mc, so the only problem is how will Jade/Stephen react if Sage lets on that the mc is her boyfriend. Jade might not be too pleased, but she isn't gonna do anything right then and there.
And the best case is the mc hasn't been fooling around with anyone. This just means Jade sexually assaulted him in class but it's all water under the bridge. Jade's not gonna say or do anything about it. And no one else knows about it. So other than the mc panicking, the situation shouldn't escalate.
So while the mc does panic, and I do think it's an OK reaction under any of the potential circumstances, the drama that comes next will make or break this scene for me. Of course with the mc hiding in the bathroom shitting himself, he's already making the situation worse. But this is the same guy who lost his shit when he found out Maya and Josy were a couple. So no big surprise there.

Were they, though? We don't know what pictures Chad saw. If they were him and Troy, we definitely didn't see them, otherwise this place wouldn't have had such a hard tine believing it when I and several others called him out as gay in the early episodes. It could have been anything. The photos we did see were for Dawe, and some were almost certainly manipulated in some ways.
When he got the pics his first reaction seemed to be anger, which isn't usually how someone would respond if there were 'proof' of their darkest secrets. I suspect it started with some edited pics of Sage & Fuckface, before it moved on to anything that threatened him directly.

But for sure he is when confronting the MC, even Fuckface gets taken aback by his reaction, so it has to be something really personal for this to be the case, proof of him and Troy fits that scenario the best.

We haven't seen Chad's letter and only seen Dawe's images. We still don't know barely anything about that.
It could be as simple as Burke knew Chad was using Sage as his beard. Sage, we find out later, is his daughter. He does break up with her shortly thereafter.

Yes, but why would he jump to that? Fuckface is never seen with a camera, and outside of the Sage matter has no reason to antagonize him at all.
Who else really witnessed their confrontation? Somebody with the real dirt on him, perhaps. Maybe Mel & Sarah were trying to push him, since they clearly seemed to be aware of his preferences. I'd like to give Mel a pass, but Sarah strikes me as exactly the kind of person who would do it, just to see what happens.

A new guy comes to college, hangs around your girlfriend, you catch him spying on you, and you get compromising photos of yourself. mc basically lacked motive, if he wants Sage to see the photos, he has to show them to her not him, but that he's a suspect fits.

I realized one thing. Episode 3, which featured the Chad situation, was released in 2019. It's 2022 now, 3 years have passed. We still don't know exactly who is blackmailing Chad and we can only guess. Three years.

You don't need a "camera" to be taking snaps. Everyone has a phone. Plus this conversation with the jocks cements Chad's accusations, as well as the dialogue in the fight.

I reckon they forced Chad's hand to get him to move on from Sage to be with Troy, since for no reason at all I reckon Troy is Mel's brother, and Mel and Sarah know all about the two guys' sexual preference.
