Bro, if you pursue a DIK affinity every Main Girl except Sage will DISLIKE you and REJECT you sooner or later (and Josy will do it SOONER).
That's not the point: they dumped you and you're missing all their episodes 5-9 content. Maybe you'll end up with Maya or Josy towards the end of the game... (you will find out in 2028, I guess), but... who cares now.
DIK route is a "I wanna bang Sage and all the bitches" gameplay. Chick route is a "I wanna have a relationship" gameplay.

I think this episode proved that if you're a massive dik, it means you can officially go and have a relationship with the side girls, meaning (from this expisode) Quinn or Rio. Both those girls got scenes where if you took the "others", they'll let you in sooner or later.
And, for Josy, there are scenes sprinkled through that she's not really a CHICK girl. She's more a NEUTRAL, but maybe into DIKs. For whatever reason, she's with Maya right now, but I do hope we can get her alone. As you say, i's probably a late-game thing, unless Dr Cake makes it possible to ruin the relationship of Josy and Maya in a more robust way.
I like that the "others" route isn't just about fucking around, but pursuing other girls that aren't considered romantic interests. I still fuck what I can on that route. But I still think there'll be choices to make to go after this or that side girl.

The real reason to play the Jill path finally appears! Also after a combo of actually playing through the interlude instead of just skipping and paying more attention to her ep9 dialogue/interactions , can def see Zoey being the number 1 contender for top main LI in future episodes! still finding a ton of shit I missed replaying
p.s. idk if it was an intentional joke or not by DPC but the dialogue between the M.C. & Sage after investigating the pillory during the haunted basement event cracked me up!

I don't get the hate. I loved this episode.
DPC had the balls to do something different in the form of a HUGE freeroam of a carefree party, and I enjoyed it. It was fun, I laughed hard and often, and I am sure the next episodes will again be more "standard". It felt good to play an episode that handled things a bit differently.
And I hope we get a new Dungeons and Gremlins adventure soon. Those were brilliant.

Monster ...A warning to everybody:
if you date all the Main Girls till the end of episode 8, you will get 2 heartbreaking scenes in episode 9.
So, if you don't want to be in relationship with Josy&Maya and you don't want to make Josy cry, you'd better tell them that you want to be friends in the library . If you don't want to be Jill's boyfriend, you'd better dump her at the first tennis date, otherwise she will be devastated.
I've warned you: I made Josy cry, and I feel like shit , now.

After EP08 with Zoey showing up, I was really sceptical, if she is annoying and there will be anything forced. But now, after playing the Interlude and directly after EP09, Zoey went from "I don't care" to my top 3 girls. The whole story with her coming back, the meeting at the bench and the interactions at the party (+ the costume, it was awesome <3) felt really good.
