Hm, maybe you need to play EP9 again and dont skip anything, you will notice how DPC uses animations in that episode and that most of them are not used in lewd content. And it varys a lot regarding the complexity of those animations. In the lewd scenes we have many short ones, and some are very complex. same goes for animations outside of those sex/lewd scenes.

everybody can jerk off the number of renders, they *think* theyre getting a quality update. Might I remind people that episode 9 had an insane amount of renders, but was one of the most disappointing updates of the year? I finished all the routes (skipped past the redundant dialogue) in 6 hours. Meanwhile, if you look ahead to the rank 1/2 games, they are pushing out 2 significant updates, with better storyline progression, better scenes and faster than DPC can push out 1 mid update.
Meanwhile, all these posters continue to bide their time, jacking off to the number of 4090 cards DPC ordered. The sex scenes have been lackluster too, yeah DPC poses them in the same 4-6 positions with high quality renders but they fuck like lifeless animatrons, all at the same speed/tempo. no significant movement in the story for 2 episodes now.
Strange that the updates get shittier, as the "quality" increases. I'd bet if people polled those who have been following the game, the most popular updates have all been within the 1st 3-4 seasons.
Those other games you talked about look like they use Honey Select which doesn't take as long to get images from but doesn't look anywhere close to as good as Daz renders, and as someone who has been spending the last 3 months learning Daz 5000 renders is a mindblowing number that would take months just to pose. If you support dpc on Pateron and feel you're not getting your money's worth then you absolutely can and should cancel your membership, but if you're only here for the free porn like me and the majority of other people on this site then you can suck it up and wait. Uh there are so many animations... like the walking preps, the whole starting cinematic of the episode, leon getting spanked by tommy, the movie scene, the bus and so on and on and on and on most of the time very short animations most people didnt even noticed. DPC really went overboard with so many animations in that episode, well and you said it... you cant remember them. And thats exactly the point why they are so unnecessary.
Other thanb that, yep episode 9 is my least favorite too in my book. Especially cause not much happened other than party-stuff. And a whole episode just about party stuff... yeah not my thing. The real important things didnt get much progress, and some things like the visit at burkes or the pregnancy thingy were pretty much dropped. Didnt understand what the point was in making the burke scene (just to drop that Sage is a Burke? Didnt need that much "drama" to go about that for nothing) or why there needs to be a pregnant arieth. But well... it is what it is... its done and now we can move on to things that reall matter, hopefully.

If you wait for the update and play all the way through to the end of episode 10 in one go, you're then up for a 9 month to 1 year wait for the next episode.
But if you play it now, you'll be begging for another episode soon, and it'll be here in a month or two... or three... or maybe four... Sure, after that you're still in the same boat waiting for episode 11, but at least you'll be eased into it.
This game has set the bar for quality and quantity in this field. Once you've played it, all the other games won't be the same again. Unless of course you are into the games that perpetrate sleep rape and all that shit, in which case, this game won't deliver.
I am luck to be late to the show here. I just downloaded the game for the first time and gave it a run through.
As a start-to-date exercise, there is a lot to do in one go. A lot a lot. It's very impressive, and I'm oddly invested in the characters. First time through the only path I deliberately tried to get on was Isabella, and somehow cockblocked myself. So I started over after applying the mod, and so here I am. I hope Cathy (the redhead teacher) comes back, and I hope I haven't seen the last of Jade. The three of them constitute quite the power trio...... it's like if The Police were super hot MILFs instead of a band.
I am not buying Jill and Isabella as best friends. The way they're characterized and drawn, I honestly thought Bella was her mom at first, not her bestie. So that's a bit weird. The game suffers from the common affliction of insisting older chicks have giant titties, and younger chicks have smaller titties. You can use Unren. I’ve been using it pretty much every release and never broken anything and you don't have to be concerned about updates.

Stay on Neutral affinity till you get the night bed scene with Maya in episode 2, because you have to be neutral to unlock it.
Anyway, you can't romance the 5 main Love Interests except Sage if you are on the DIK route, but you'll miss almost everything from the side girls if your affinity is neutral/chick.
The truth is that you need to play 2 different gameplays (1 DIK route, 1 neutral/CHICK route) since the very first scene of the game, at least.
The only animation metric we got was when DPC got some vacancy and his rig was dedicated to produce animations for 2 weeks. Do note than now DPC suppose to have his second rig updated too; so potential, could double the numbers (or now seems as per weeks).
Regarding the 4353 animations frames made during idle: it's about 2 min 20s of animations.
This can range from 2 Cinematic Animations to 7 Complex Sex Animations or 16 Normal or 36 Minor.
