Damn it, 1 year of waiting and so little content.

The game is no longer worth the wait. This episode was alright, not bad but nothing special either. It was better than the last episode.

This episode felt super super short. Instead of attempting to make animations where you don't even notice them and mini games, he can create more renders to make branches longer. The only meaningful branch I felt was Jill and Sage. The Bella and Maya & and Josy were lackluster, with the M&J path feeling the shortest. There's almost no difference in dialogues between the branches. The Thanksgiving dinner scene was exactly the same on all branches, even if you are Maya's boyfriend.

I'm playing the new episode and one thing bothering me is how Maya is dressing. I just don't see her as someone who dress in see-through tops. She didn't dree like that during the summer, why is she suddenly doing it in the late fall? Sure, DPC created her so I guess he knows her best, it's just not the picture of her I got during the first two seasons. It might make more sense if she dates the MC and becomes more confident, I don't know.
Not that there's anything wrong with how she dresses, see-through tops are in right now, I have seen plenty of examples both IRL and online. In fact, someone I follow on Instagram had one very similar to the one Maya has when she visits the MC and she's not the type who dresses very revealing otherwise so maybe I'm wrong about it? Maybe I read too much into it? Maybe I should just get with the times?

Also, why do the MC keep imagining his mom naked? That's just weird.

So he clearly had this issue with Jade and their relationship a whole decade prior to the current timeline and for some reason as a grown ass man who's a millionaire, his next course of action was the be the dean of a college and solicitate with girls as young as his daughter as well as his wife's colleagues.

Bruh I don't get this he tells his therapist, his wife (Jade) doesn't make him feel wanted due to being barren. Which is first off, completely dumb writing, like DPC just skewered this whole dynamic when stephen was the one who started cheating blatantly which in turn made Jade feel unwanted and eventually became her sole reason of sleeping with MC.

Like wtf is this paradoxical shit.

My respect for Patrick shot through the roof. Never judge a character without knowing them and their motives. I can't believe that a fictional character made me this emotional. He became a personal inspiration. i hope he gets a happy ending... Please let him have one . I'm not the biggest maya fan but i'll dedicate a playthrough for her just so that i can follow patricks story.

Has there ever been a release in any game that everyone thought was good? Even some of the "best" updates from the games in your sig have people on both sides (i recall the heist update being kind of split). Personally the game has not really "changed" too much since you last played (other than forcing you to pick an LI) which can make it feel more sparse (even more so if just 1 route) if i were you i would keep it "in my back pocket" so you can play (or fap) to bits of it if you are bored waiting for other updates

Probably because BaDIK is a brand itself and expectations are enormous. As in every game, there are good and bad things in each update but you will never find everyone happy in game with so many branches and updates once a year.

You can like a story and mini-games or not but undeniable fact is that DPC is pushing RenPy to the limits or at least far ahead of any other dev does. New cut-scenes animations are like you never seen before in RenPy AVN, he really pushed it forward with 3D animations (look like Brawler looks like) this time. Every update I see him trying to improve and polish already implemented stuff and tries to add something new even if major cut of players don't like/want that (fish minigame is my personal top).

Animations aren't a RenPy thing. The models are from engines like Daz, Honey Select, etc. If we take that into account for example, Caribdis improved immensely since his last game when it comes to explore RenPy. But many aren't aware of that because they don't like Honey Select graphics. Which is completly understandable, many don't like it, it's a matter of taste. But I'm just giving this example because animation isn't a RenPy's engine thing. You still need to be able to explore it's limitations though, in that regard I agree. And probably the multi pathing zianski mentioned is as versitable as some of you imply then yes, he's using the engine to the limit.

console commands dont break the game, you can even use mods as walkthrough guide and it won't fuck up your saves. It only breaks when you use a function made by the mod that isn't part of the game, as stuff you have to choose between 1 or other LI and you use the mod to have both. I replayed the whole game because I lost my saves since I got a new pc, and season 1&2 had a mod, season 3 (the newly updated with ep 10 included) I played with no mods and I had no problems with my saves.

If you wanna use console, you have to go on the BAD folder/renpy/common. then look for a file called 00console.rpy, open it as notepad and do search Ctrl+F and search for "Config.console" then when you find Config.Console=False, you change it to "True", save and exit. Then in the game you press shift+O to use console.

some commands:

money=(number) can be 1to5 till ep.7 or 1-10 afterwards.

mansion_money=(number you want)

pp_money=(I usually put it around 20-22) is good enough. This is for party planning.

dik=(1-20) to go from dik/huge dik/massive dik. (changing dik score)

dtype=(number) to change dik stats - between dik,neutral and chick. It isn't that important till ep8. Since by changing score you usually change the stats. After that I found out that you need not only to change the score, but also the status.

affinity=( either "u'DIK' or u'NEUTRAL' or u'CHICK'") to change between those affinities.

On previous brawler you can increase stats by:
sports_mov=4 (to max moviment)
sports_pow=4 (power)
sports_dex=4 (dexterity)
sports_hp=4 (hp)

you can also add roundbound kick, healing and counter. i forgot the commands though because I never needed to use those, I didn't check console to anything on season 10, but those are helpful to build up your mc.

For the new brawler mini-game it's bn_ instead of sports_. I assume it stands for brawler new. If you want to cheat, the easiest way is to just set bn_cpu_hp to 1 after the fight starts. (variable might be named slightly differently)

I'm not sure if anyone has already pointed this out, but BaDik fell to 5th place after the release of episode 10. Now, we just need DPC's braindead patreons to snap out of their delusion and stop blindly supporting him. The good doctor needs a reality check that he's not a god.

The ones ahead of it are fine games, but their overall quality level is nowhere near that of BaD. Even with the annoyances he throws in.

Well here’s the particlar path I created before I got to the scenario I wrote about.

1. Achieve the throuple.
2. But rather than “ask for something more,” I had the MC tell them he just wanted to be friends.
3. Also had him tell Derek he still had feelings for Josy. Got that? Still have feelings for her. That’s an option built into the game & everything.
4. Also had him choose to hang out with her, and be all boyfrendy and shit, when given the option.
5. In episode 8, when he has to choose an LI, and we see various black-and-white collages of the LI options, you see a Josy one… and an “Others” path. Which I took.
6. In episode 9, I had him tell Josy he thinks about her all the time.

So now we’re in episode 10, Tremolo’s hanging out with Josy again, she gets into lingerie and climbs into bed (in a pillow fort, but it’s on her bed) with him… and now the very game cockblocks him. And now Josy is uncomfortable around him, because she’s embarrassed about confessing her crush on him when he’s not interested.

It’s extremely annoying, and I have only two words to DPC about this particular development:

So... you choose to be friends with josy, but are annoyed that nothing is going with her after? Find the error...

For me it goes like like this step for step for the Josy solo route..

1. DONT achieve the throuple. For that you are not allowed to fuck Josy in ep 2 and have to avoid maya.
2. Ask for something more, but you will get rejected if you dont fuck Josy and got the epsiode 3 lewd scene with maya.

and than all the rest you have done... on others path of course, and it plays out on a whole other level.

That you got "cockblocked" here makes sense, cause MC closed at least one door already early on with choosing "i want to be friends" so choosing "i still have feelings" doesnt erase the other choice here... because, well you can obviously have feelings for someone but make the choice to dont pursue her, and thats what you pretty much did in your playthrough.

Yeah i can open the 2d art gallery, i extracted the folder/game in the same folder as the rest of the season 3, i checked the "persistent" i even tried to replace it with another "persistent" folder, i deleted and tried the game afterwards and still the same thing

try a different laptop or pc. I fixed my problem. I put the game on an external hard drive and put it on a different pc and it worked on the new pc. I then removed the external, i didn't plug it in on any pc, and checked which files were residue in both pcs. I deleted the ones that weren't on both pcs, from my old pc, and when i plugged the external back on the old pc it was fixed. Maybe it will work on the new one, and the bug might be caused by a residue file on your pc

I actually have the complete opposite view of Nick, he feels like someone who is trustworthy but it's taken advantage of (it sounds like Heather knew Nick was heavily into her and played him for revenge). If anything he highlights the hypocrisy and duplicity of Tommy and Vinny respectively.

Well ok... yeah you can see him like that, and i agree somewhat... BUT that doesnt make him trustworthy. Somebody like him, who get used by others is pretty much a "mole" He has to stand up for himself and others to be trustworthy and doesnt do that. He swims with the fishes and get used by others and is feeling liek a snitch too...

Yeah maybe there is more to him, i dont know, and for now... i dont care... i just dont trust him.

on which part? I was legitimately asking if there had been a "perfect" update to a game? Every update to every game I have ever seen has people saying its the best and worst thing ever? Or do you disagree with my recommendation to keep this as a just in case game?

I didnt even weigh in on this (or any) updates quality so i am really not sure what you are not in agreement with

Edit: Did you think I was saying the heist update was "spilt"? If so i should have been more clear and said "I think i recall reception of that update being split amongst other people"
