You know what the weirdest scene at the beginning of the game is?
The scene where Josy calls MC after a night of sex in her house in ep3.
It's actually an example of missed opportunities to develop an interesting conflict.
1) Quinn says in ep2 that MC was called by someone named Josy and her voice shook when she thought she (Quinn) was the MC's girlfriend. This happened when MC's clothes were stolen and he went back to the HOTs mansion to get his guitar and stuff.
2) Josy doesn't mention this in any way in her next conversation with MC. She could have just asked: MC, who is Quinn?
3) Quinn didn't bring up this conversation in ep4. She already knew who Josy was, but the game didn't comment on it in any way.
4) Josy calls in ep3 and is not bothered in any way by the fact that the guy she is in love with is living with another girl. She doesn't even show any signs of jealousy, she's not worried, she's calm and playful. But as we know later, she's jealous. She's acting like...Sage.
It makes sense that she would suggest that this girl is the Quinn she talked to in ep2. But she doesn't comment on it.
We ended up losing a potential conflict based on innuendo and miscommunication. For example, Quinn could have jokingly said she was really the MC's girlfriend. And, for example, manipulate Josy out of it.
