I love how you're taking this all in stride, dude. :ROFLMAO:
Genuine question: Is there a chance Zoey will overtake Sage as your favorite girl, or are you just defending Zoey to spite the Zoey haters?
[Sigh] It's a pity that your DM is closed, the opportunity to send "very special" arts with Bella from Lockhear is gone ;) Okay, joking.

Look: I could write a long essay for the hundredth time about why I think Zoey's critics are wrong and why she deserves a second chance, but why? People have their own tastes and they will stick to them, the only one who can change your opinion of a character is YOU. So I don't see the point in having any more waifu wars that will lead to nothing, and most people here are joking, and I don't mind joking back. Except for the guy who wrote "I still think Zoey will die." which is a retarded cringe (none of the girls' arcs lead to potential death, with the possible exception of Quinn), everyone else is pretty chill guys.

To answer your question, it's unlikely that she'll overtake Sage unless DPC decides to ruin her character, like he did to Jill in season 2 or like he made Josy as uninteresting LI as possible.
Sage is a confident, caring and empathic girl inside, a real leader, a character who has built herself. Zoey still has to show herself and cope with her internal crisis, with her feelings. If she admits the choice of MC in favor of another girl - I will respect her even more as a strong person.

Thanks for the reply :)

Zoey was very unfairly treated by DPC. The way she was introduced made the players raise their shields without giving them any chance to get to know Zoey (myself included). She is not a bad character, but the vibe she gives of "I'm going to fuck up your life if you don't take me back" leaves a bad taste in my mouth (and in the mouths of other players too).

Her being brought back right after we chose our favorite girl was an affront. I didn't like it, it seems like DPC only brought her in to cause headaches. Which is a shame because Zoey is charismatic and could be a beloved character, but DPC screwed her over by bringing her back into the plot like that.

Hard to say... I haven't played all the routes if that's what you're asking. I don't have the patience. After EP.8 I picked the route I liked the most and stuck with it ever since. I play to have fun, doing all the paths and seeing all the cutscenes isn't fun for me, it's just tiring.

When Tara debuted in EP.8 (the scene where she's talking to Leon and she sees MC for the first time and glares at him) I thought Tara was the dorm version of MC.

I thought she was the de-facto leader of the dorm girls in the same way MC was the de-facto leader of the DIKs. I was hyped for nothing, I thought we would have a female villain but then she turned out to be just a dumb blonde. :cautious:
i was thought it about Sage in ep 1...

Thanks to everyone who quoted my free roam post, you guys were too many to tag in the same post, but I read them all! You let me understand your perspective better now, but I still like to play free roams even after multiple times. But I gotta agree that if order of things done means you miss stuff that is not good and should be ironed out going forward. I'm sure it's not "gotcha" trap by evil dev, probably just hard thing to do with so many variations especially if once you code the game you have certain vision in my how things should go, but players of course always find a different way to do stuff eventually. In fact, I would like more cool free roam things added like that elusive piss sheriff - moment like that sticks with you for a long time and if it just happened every time in VN format it would not carry the same weight. Also stuff like catching someone cheating feels more impactful when you stumble upon them while opening room rather than it just happening (examples here are Bianca's husband cheating (free roam) vs Gordon seeing Beth kiss another dude (automatic)). As long as phone have "map" on what is available to be done tho, I'm not sure I would like it as much if it was only self-discovery. So let's hope things are balanced like earlier chapters - some free roam, some chill VN plot with interesting choices. <3
cool free-roams wouldnt be problems, i like them. 2-3 room. but dpc went to the big free-roams...
Yesh, I don't get why he named the episode Vixens when they had such a small part.
vixens dont have to mean these girls who we call Vixens. it has a meaning. at least the google say it has
My boy Tremolo knew what he was doing. He wanted Christie to hear that the DIKs had no drinks for the party just so he could embarrass Tommy in front of her. That's a cold-hearted move, that has to be the most gangster thing the MC has ever done canonically. :ROFLMAO:

Many people don't know, but Oscar's black eye was Tommy's fault and not MC's. If you look at the game code you will see the dialogue below:

Tiffany: And, oh! Tara's mad at you. *about Oscar's black eye
Tommy: I don't give a fuck if she is.
Tiffany: I'm just saying.

The condition for this dialogue to appear is for MC to have made a NEUTRAL or DIK choice. Proving that even though MC punched Oscar, the person responsible for Oscar's black eye was Tommy.
best if mc and Tommy best up oscar. Jojo is cute, not basic bitch
You can save Rusty's car anyway. I did in the one route I took the VIP pass and had 54 $ to spare after paying for the windows. I usually end up having 50-60 $ left after paying for the windows (I'm still a bit annoyed that you don't get at least a bonus for it in the party planing), not counting the 10 $ you get for the VIP pass.

I'm curious, has anybody here actually failed the mansion restoration minigame?
pretty sure i read it many months ago, someone did it
Instead of the standard "that's the best Tara's looked other than in her Halloween costume" comment, I'll go with... "Am I the only one who thinks Magnar looks like he's shat his pants here?"
Tara is cute there, i mean, to me looks like Magnar is close to a burn out or break down at mental or something.
Speaking of undiscovered things, I found something I never knew existed.

When I was researching Madame's stupid origins last night, I went through an old Q&A where I came across this:
What was the punchline to Derek's joke he told the bartender in Episode 5?
If you fail at getting the tequila after asking him to help you, talk to him again, and he expands a bit on it. I don't think many players saw this.

If you can't remember the joke, it's at the preps party where you're trying to get tequila for Lily.

The thing is, you can't fail at getting the tequila. It made no sense to me, like how could you? You just grab the bottle when the bartender is distracted by Derek, like that's literally it. But then I tried something I never ever thought to try: I left the room, and went back in. And no fucking shit, the bartender goes back to his position, and you actually failed. So you have to try again, and lo and behold, a brand new interaction!

I checked if there was a third joke if you failed once more, but no it just repeats the second interaction. Still, I'm amazed. DPC was right, I doubt many players saw this, because why would anyone ever leave the room instead of just immediately grabbing the tequila?

Bravo, DPC, bravo. I'll take that check now, cha-ching
why? well, in my 2. walk i was bored at this point, so when he goes to the bartender first time, i got this idea. what if i leave it? will it reset the room and i cant talk again with Derek and i will break the game? but no, the dev is clever. after mc said, he ducked up, my pride went in. i loaded back, because there is no way i ducked up.

Nah, she doesn't have that precense she's just your average girl with no father figure. Now if DPC turns her into the psycho nurse from her first AVN, then, yes we would have a real threat. :HideThePain:

Let's just say she came at the worst time, I already have 5 main girls that I'm not going to cheat on and a bunch of side hoes to fill in, I don't have any more room.:KEK:

True.

True.

questionable, taking into account everything that happened under his leadership.:KEK:
We can say that her leadership in the first two months of the game was affected by a lot of shit that pushed her as a president into the background (the drama with Chad, and then the flu put her out of action for a weekand she making mistakes ofc too), but Ep.10 and her mediation in negotiations between the DIKs and the jocks showed her leadership qualities - Sage is a good diplomat, knows how to negotiate and effectively use the available leverage. Unlike Quinn. Even though I like her being a "bad bitch" but she is a terrible leader and chess player, everything turns into chaos for her. Thats the truth.
Thanks for the reply :)

Well, it's a Chekhov's gun trick with Zoey return at the very moment when MC seemed to have decided on his future life. At an important plot point in the middle, a plot twist occurs that throws up new challenges. She was presented a little crookedly by the unfinished Interlude and caused butthurt among impatient players who were waiting for a new episode as soon as possible.

And I don't think that Zoey will ruin MC's life. I don't see the vibes of a person who would want to ruin his life. But MC can turn his life into a chaotic mess - yes. After all, it is the player who has hidden cheating points and can direct MC along this path, it is the player who can break girls' hearts by chasing all the skirts at once, it is the player who can start showing new sympathy to Zoey already having a girlfriend. That's true, DPC likes to cause drama, chaos and headaches, but whether the player follows this path is up to you.
Another important factor is that DPC clearly loves Zoey as a character, paying so much attention to her, he himself said how touching the scene on the bench was for him and how much passion and time he wasted to build her character. DPC loves the character and apparently expected the same from most of the audience, but he underestimates the players, many of them are aggressive simps who saw Zoey as a threat to their virtual waifu. So we have this controversy from the audience.

Zoey never had a chance with most people. The players had already got to know the others and picked their favorites. MC might have a connection and a past with her, but us as players don't.

I don't like her as an LI, I find her quite irrelevant, just another background character, but the hate she gets is quite ridiculous. She has done nothing to deserve it.

She comes back to see if she has a chance with Tremolo (and there's nothing wrong with that). If you tell her you've moved on, she doesn't do anything to interfere and even expresses her happiness for you (even if she doesn't mean it).

We aren't even forced to spend the time with her and share Lynette's diary if we don't want to (I might have been pissed if we were, because, I didn't want to share that personal stuff with someone I don't know, but DPC gave us the option not to).

Unless she does anything to mess up any relationship Tremolo has, she's just being a good friend and doesn't deserve the hate.

I can't say I blame anyone who feels this way. I'll say it again, Zoey being brought in right after we chose our favorite girl in EP.8 killed her chance of getting a good reception. What should the players think?

1- Oh, the MC's ex-girlfriend is back! Cool!
2- Shit! Right now? She's not going to try to screw the MC over, is she?

Since she returned to the plot I've been ignoring Zoey (unfortunately), but I have to. I have no idea what she's planning. The MC tried to find out by asking her why she came back, but she didn't know how to answer (or didn't want to answer). It's hard for Zoey to win the players' affection when she's added to the plot like this.

MC might have a connection and a past with her, but us as players don't.
THIS! 100% THIS!

The problem I have with zoey is she dumped the mc ran off failed and came back trying to start where it ended. And that doesnt work very often. In every other vn ive played the former girlfriend had a a much better feel - jackie in u4ia is my favorite of all the girls, erynn in intertwined and step in LoF ( other than cece) were all my favorite girls. And any time I play a path not on that girls path i feel bad for them. I dont feel bad for zoey.

She was introduced the way he wanted to introduce her, some folks like it and as such like her, some don't.

It's very personal, I don't dislike how she's written or the part that she can play in the story, I simply dislike the type of person she represents.

I bet most, if not everyone, had the dis/pleasure of meeting someone like her in their life, in some case the relationship can go on (even more so at distance) as friends, but when they stop showing any kind of interest in you (which is fine btw), they lose also the right of being called friend.

The reaction I had with "my" Zoey when she popped her ugly ass up again was to hand her couple of things she had left behind and when she tried to mend the situation, I started laughing and accompanied her to the door, the one thing I was sure NOT to do was crying in front of her.

Yeah, but that moment of leadership isn't going to make up for all the problems quinn left behind thanks to sage being too busy chasing chad. :KEK:
