I dont know to be honest, dpc said so many thing it is hard to keep track of what is honest and what is misleading or straight up lie.
I cant say 100% that he not say that at one point, I also cant say he wont kill a beloved character
But was AL really that dark compared to Badik aside from that ? Never finished it myself, but as I remember it had

Okay....I can see it. She did get overly attached, but I always explained that as you spent an entire summer working with her and she was in love with you the whole time.

at the end yes it was dark and much darker then the stuff before it was more aprupt
it had a different tone than being a dik b.a.d has more jokes and funny stuff so more realistic/mature in that aspect and general bad has that sex comedie vibe for now
