Sage's story, to me is the one that develops most naturally and more realistic than any of the others path. I love it

It's why she was my first choice on my first blind playthrough, I had all routes open, but I was like Isabella wouldn't work long term, Jill is lovely but I felt her and MC were too different with too many obstacles in the way, and the throuple just isn't a long term way to play, and while I liked the both of them, I just preferred the story that Sage's path told

Over more playthroughs, I've decided that I prefer Maya to Josy, just, but for me each time I do a Sage playthrough, there's a bit of dialogue, or an action, or a look that I missed before or didn't think about. Even stuff like Sage wanting to hold his hand at the Hot House when they're watching the movie, obviously i've seen it a ton of times, but i just never processed that she was the one who made the first move in terms of romantic intimacy.

Romantic might be the wrong word, it could just be showing support

The relationship between Jill happens again fast and sometimes I question MC's moties in that relationship. But I do get you, Jill does seem to be a bit naive there too, I can see her clashing with MC a lot.

Over more playthroughs, I've decided that I prefer Maya to Josy

Ahhhh the Thruple path. My favourite, all though I do like the way Maya seems to grow there. Josy is just well, a bit self centred and sometimes not a nice person. all three of them do seem to work well though and bring out the best in each other,

Even though I'm not, let's say, a big fan of both subjects, Quinn and the AI animation, I have to admit, it's very well done. Maybe even great. Kudos.

... Maya shows no signs of growing up, only showing the contrary, it's hard not to immediately change my mind. Hopefully, DPC either allows them to break up or allows the player to break them up in the the next update. Something HAS to force Maya to grow up, and hopefully before she drags anyone else down with her. The worst case would be for Derrick to drop out and lie for her, using the payments intended for him to pay for Maya's tuition. And he's dumb and loyal enough to do just that, and Maya entitled enough to let it happen.

Maya has such a cunt energy. Selfish, energy vampire. You can rent her to end parties. You know that girl that gets drunk and cries at every party ? I think Josy would dump her if she could put her on suicide watch.

I just wish Patrick kicked her out of the house instead of this stupid plot. But I would say he just want her to be normal, as she clearly is not. She is type of person to pretend to be gay just to avoid having a family and responsibility. The type to go to college go into debt for gender studies major so she can blame the world for not having a job while she has a "degree".
She is type of person that would sue her parents for wanting to kick her out of their basement when she is 40 and has 2 dogs and a cat. She is a walking red flag, perfect for guys with knight in shining armor syndrome.

Despite everything that you said being just flat out wrong, you didn't have to say anything more than this. What you have said here summarises your beliefs and the crux of your issue with Maya. Grow up.

I like all the girls in the game, I can find things I like about all of them, and its not to say I dislike Josy or Jill, but in terms of a game that is so heavy on character development, Josy hasn't had a lot (Though Episode 10 changed a lot of that) and Jill is so caring and sweet, but I just never clicked with her. My favourite scenes in the game are the more romantic and intimate scenes and I don't think Jill has too many of them, some of them I do like, the car ride with MC on her date/hangout especially.

For me, its a shame that Maya and Josy's best growth as characters come if you leave the throuple in Episode 8. You realise just how hurt Josy is, I wouldn't go as far to say selfish, but she wears her heart on her sleeve and I think she can be a bit naive, or inconsiderate of others feelings, and then you see how mature and caring Maya is. Maya's character growth has been very good, especially on the throuple, even just going from the Dorm Party where she didn't want to kiss MC in public, to not caring, then running off and fucking in the classroom to her antics in Episode 9 and 10 on the throuple path. It shows how MC has made her feel more carefree and comfortable in herself. I was reading one of Geralt From Rivia's posts about it after Episode 10 came out earlier, if you can find it, it was great

Finished chapter 10, finally caught up. First run through of season 3 so far was my Bella route, I may need to go through again to change some choices made waaay earlier to line up more with my other routes. We still haven't got a whole lot about her backstory yet but I love how she has been opening up more, hopefully getting closer to progressing more with the James stuff now she's opened up more, she's still my favorite LI but Sage Is coming close to being tied for best girl.

Sage as I said has shot right up to being damn near tied for first with Bella for me, It's been said before but her route feels very natural in progression. Going from MC sort of being just a way for her to get the truth about Chad to friends and on her route more. The wholesome moments with her are great as well and she gets bonus points for being a redhead. I also get a sick sense of satisfaction knowing the MC could torment Tyballs for the rest of his life if he's with Sage.

With Bella and Sage being basically tied first and the only other route I am doing being Jill's, she would I guess be default second place, I do really like the relationship between her and MC as well. Helping her with her recital Is one my favorite moments in the game, sure you can do It on any route but when on her route It just hits different. I still need to continue her route in season 3 though to judge how It compares.

I do like Zoey a little more but I feel like she's come in too late for me to want to do a run through for her. Honestly thought It could have been cool to have her and Jacob get together but that seems to have been shut down. And on the story stuff I'm hoping we're not going to get inane arguments about MC being the one who planted the camera, would be nice If they could just rationally think things through so they can focus on finding who It actually was.

This is basically S3 Maya in a nutshell. Why DPC why???

It's simply her avatar visually representing her character growth imo. You could even argue that its bc the MC sees her in a new, uglier light after what she does to him. Even if you, the player, see her in a different light. I fully agree, but DPC bait and switches the MC with her. This is a chick that's willing to stab her new friend/boyfriend in the back for an opportunity that is clearly a fairytale. She goes from being a very kind, sweet character on the surface to lying or omitting everything especially if it would impact the decisions of others in a remotely negative way.

Maya's changes are made even more stark in contrast by the fact that several other models actually improved at the time hers got so much worse. In literature such shifts, though non-visual, are pretty damn common. The author starts with a deep passion for a specific character, but then moves on to characters they connect with better. And while Maya starts off pretty perfect, her character does things that would instantly kill many relationships. Repeatedly. After all, Maya is the one character, that no matter your decisions, behaves in manner that most people would consider cheating.

The Maya x Josy relationship is already over, those two are just too naive to admit it.

It's only in this position because of Patrick. Remove that problem and things would improve.

You realise that pretty much everyone, including Josy, the MC, and even the dimbat slut Arieth, are all getting their tuition paid for them, right? So it's not like she's looking for much to have what they have, especially when she was going to get it anyway before her Dad found out about her relationship.

Yeah, because part-time work in college totally pays towards the thousands of dollars it costs for a college education

There is no reason for her to continue to try to hide her sexuality, as too many people already know for it to remain a secret.

Maybe not, but she got burned badly by her Dad's reaction and is understandably scared to let other people know, especially with the fear that it may somehow get back to her Dad that she and Josy are still together.

For me, its a shame that Maya and Josy's best growth as characters come if you leave the throuple in Episode 8.

I dunno, I think the best growth and change for both comes by being on their path because I see them developing more there than off it.
