I agree with you, but you know better than me that DPC avoided pegging the MC being even an option because it would have created a riot among the vast group of those who are so confident about their own sexuality that they get triggered if another player has even the possibility of chosing something they don't want to be able to choose because they're terrified that given the technical possibility they might choose it and they could even like it...
I don't believe that to be the case. Having that option drastically changes the game. This is a kink that is not shared by the vast majority of the population. Where does it end? Do you add more scenes with this as an option? Throuple path, Jill path, Bella path, Others? What about watersports, scat, beastiality, or any number of obscure kinks. I'm not kink-shaming or whatever it's called. But this game had shown zero inkling that the MC was into that.
This game is geared more to the casual sex enthusiast. With more acceptable kinks such as anal & potential sharing (John Boy). I'm sure there are an innumerable amount of games that provide satisfaction based on your preferred sex preference. Maybe the quality isn't there. But they exist.
If I'm a developer that's not into those kinks, what benefit do I get from catering to a very niche audience. When I have to pose & animate those scenes. For the small gain in audience, how many customers would I alienate?
Just because you may be okay with pegging doesn't mean everyone is. Not everyone is closeted about their preferences. Some people genuinely don't find some things attractive. Doesn't mean they want to secretly engage in that activity. Trust me when I say I am not into any of the kinks I've listed. What I think about those that are is irrelevant. Like what you like. But not all AVN or porn for that matter has to please everyone.
