I wouldn't say that's 100% true as you do have many great options to choose from. You can't be with all of them in a relationship but you can bang most of them. For me that's what matters most in a VN

It's a different game in many senses, but comparisons are often made. One of the reasons I played it was to be able to participate in discussions here without being spoilt.
I agree. If the quotes in that post are typical from him, DPC is doing exactly the right thing for a dev to make a good game. He's actually reading the feedback he gets and presumably sometimes he sees an idea he likes or maybe a problem that needs to be addressed. At the same time he's sticking to his guns and making a game that he would actually want to play himself. If everyone is clamoring for something that he's not opposed to I don't see a problem with adding it, but if it was something that he really doesn't like or something he doesn't think really fits then he shouldn't do it no matter how many people want it.
On the subject of animations, I think most devs focus on them more than they should but I think DPC is an exception. He seems to be far above the skill level of most devs when it comes to animations. Some of the ones he has look like they're tweaks of some of the different Stimuli series, but a lot of them are things I've never seen any comparable plugins for, and the animations where he does that look just as smooth as the Stimuli variants. So I suspect he may use the Stimuli stuff to save some set up time if it's something that fits the scene, but unlike most people he doesn't need it. An original animation is going to take him more time but will end up looking just as good.
I also think that based on how many animations and renders he's doing, he probably has a separate box that he sets up the scenes on in Daz and then just has a batch que of some sort set up on a dedicated rendering machine that basically just renders 24x7. So it's probably really only the setting up of the scenes that impact the schedule and then he can work on the code and dialog on that separate computer while his renders run on the dedicated machine. That set up time is still significant though. Rendering out an animation might take a few days depending on how big the animation is and what settings he's using but he can do other stuff while that's running. But setting the scene up probably takes a few hours before any rendering has started and he can't do anthing else while he's doing that. That's the part that impacts the schedule (assuming he has a dedicated render box).

Oh DPC is doing the right thing and if you check his monthly patrons he's making like 10 times that. But if you asked me I would be hard pressed to turn down any good offers. Any E.T.A on the next update? If Im not wrong it has been 3 months since the last update? This game is like AWAM but with a lot more content per update.

Well I see ur point I do im sure a lot would not pass on it depending the situation.
But even still u need to tell ureself do I wanna have 3 k for a one time only that's probally gone pretty quick or have more then that for a long time to come were u can do a lot more things.
But yeah i see ur point that some people cant help themself and in this world today sadly alot more people take the easy way and say hey fuck it 3 k nice while its really not the smart option but gues thats the new age. lol now i feel old thinking about i would never choose that lol

He still has like 30-40 animations to be done and also he has couple of scenes that aren't fully written, think mid december or so

When you go to Microsoft Headquarters they have departments with people who are graphic designers that focus on the artistic vision of a project. Then you have people like me who are trying to calculate how much things cost and how to make a profit. I clearly know what side I'm on and it takes someone with a cool minded head to balance both. To me this is why DPC has been so successful when compared to his peers. Give fans the project they want without selling out or going into the red losing money.

To be fair it's not like the Milfy City's thread, I am kinda new here and when I saw that people were arguing which character was better than the other, made me like this thread even more. Also a lot of people seem to like DR PinkCake which makes even a better atmosphere than seeing the other thread I was mostly following.
