This week I pushed hard with coding and posing renders.

I'm working on the final free-roam and the events for it. I have ~100-200 more renders left to pose, if everything goes well I will be done with that next week.

Animations are rendering and the queue is decreasing.

I estimate the remaining render time to be ~1.5-2 weeks. This gives me time to polish the game and make sure that I didn't forget to add anything.

I wanted to make this a December release, but the beta tests and proofreading will likely start the days between Christmas and the new year. That process takes approximately 2 weeks, which means that we're looking at an early January release. An exact date will be announced when beta testing starts.

Walkthrough news

Tomorrow, the first draft of "Being a DIK: The Complete Official Guide" is released, consisting of 119 pages, covering Episodes 1-3. It will be available for all $1 patrons for one week, so make sure you grab your copy during this time.

After one week, it will be posted in the $15 tier. My plan is to update the walkthrough after and between episodes.

From my side i'm not so happy about these news that i can read in this post
If the release from what i read in this post will be make in the beginning of January will be more close to a 5 months time frame release , than 4 months ...
I can understand the usually huge content that there will be in this release , but for me it's too long this waiting , i tend to forget about the previous content and to get bored
Personally i prefer to cancel my actually pledge i've with DPK ( Also if are only 10 $ , i'm really sorry to tell this ) , waiting maybe for next updates if there will be less distance with time ( personally i prefer less content , but every 2-3 months max ) i can reconsider my decision

Nice so we now at least have full confirmation it won't be out this month, which is fine for me at least. While I'm sure me and many others would have loved this for Christmas (that part is a bit disappointing, sure); I would rather have a full polished update than a rushed and buggy one. It's great seeing his work ethic and progress in action I wish more adult game Patreon devs were like this. Granted the game isn't done just yet but I really hope he keeps the same drive throughout this project.

i hoped that the game will finish the first season this year, but nope, 2020 it is

but yeah, from august 16th since the 0.3 droped, it's a too long period to get an update

That's certainly one of the most annoying aspects is the waiting times between updates and I think if it carries on like that people may start losing interest maybe not a whole lot at first but no one likes waiting around especially if there are other games out there that will update faster than this, take WVM for example or with Philly I think with the latest update the wait for CoBD was 3 months.

they could do an update a week, if only they weren't working on multiple games and on multiple engines....but that's just my personal opinion, and people have the right to disagree...

there would be nothing wrong with that if not for the fact that DPC quit his job and went full professional.... I know game developes like the one I quoted above that work a shitton of hours per day while havin a life. and others that keep an alarming pace while having less support and resources... and experience... but that's to be expected when you (generic you) spend time fixing a perfectly fine UI....

Uhm! That was the only test I missed. I even thought of playing again choosing only bad options with him to verify this. But thinking a little, makes perfect sense, right? At least one of the doors must be open lol

Actually, I think that DrPinkCake should have made it so that if you were below water with all three options, all doors were closed. Perhaps display a message: The MC has quit school and gone home. You need to play some other game, because you obviously are clueless about this one!

In my opinion 4-5 month is quite too long of wait for anything good and a perfect wait for quality vn like this one is 2-3 month. I think DPC should focus how to shorten his episode development. And unfortunately no matter how long he will take to make his episodes we can go through it in one two days, which makes the wait even more painful.

You think this is bad? Try waiting for the next update of Brad's Erotic Week! It was last updated 2 years ago. That update took about 15 months.

The F95 thread says the game is abandoned. I can't find confirmation of that on Patreon, Shark's Lagoon or the BEW forum, but those spots, which are usually active (especially the last one), are pretty much silent.

This game showed great promise, but the developer obviously bit off more than he could chew.

I thought full time game development would mean lesser time between updates I know he stated that it won't mean faster update and also that he was working overtime half month but then also 5 months is lot. I hope we will get upcoming updates faster. Maybe he should buy another PC from walkthrough money if that what it takes to make faster updates
