Defending her actions is different from absolving her of her actions. It's not about saying that everything she did was "right", because it wasn't, it's about understanding her as a character, empathising with her situation, and understanding how she could have made those mistakes. When you do that with an open-mind and open-heart, you can see that her actions didn't come from a bad place, she wasn't being deliberately deceitful, and that her actions, though misguided, are forgivable.

You can forgive and still want a relationship with her, you can forgive her and not want a relationship with her, you can forgive her and want to be close friends, and you can forgive and not want to be close friends, but it's the people that can't forgive her no matter what that are the problem because to do so lacks empathy and compassion.
Yes, and i understand what you are saying. I might be in the minority with this but M&J "drama" didn't change my opinion of them at all. I made up my mind about them within the first 1-2 episodes and when the big reveal and the follow-up happened, i didn't care. I wasn't interested in them from the beginning. However i don't feel the need to tell other people daily that they shouldn't be interested in them either, get what i'm saying? If you want to keep on doing what you are doing, then all the power to you, but don't get overzealous when people don't agree with you. :)

if you think about it, it is a pretty fucking awesome twist, it is a fucked up, situation, a life fucked you over moment.
How did life fuck you over? The two girls you’re into are both not only into you, they are into each other! Most men have wet dreams about exactly that situation. Probably why this is the second time DPC has written about it in a porn game. Life didn’t fuck you over, it won you a fucking lottery!!!

If you didn't like them from the beginning, fine, I have no problem with that. To each their own, as they say.

My issue is, and has always been, with people who treat these girls like they're devil-spawn just because of a few omissions about themselves. It may only be a game and some people may just be being deliberately outlandish in their comments, but I have seen some very harsh, cruel, and violent things said about them just because of this one thing and to me, it speaks to how these people would view such a thing in real life and I find some of their views callous and heartless.

So these comments of mine aren't directed at you or anyone who had no interest in these characters and are largely indifferent towards them, but rather to anyone who would think that the actions shown by M&J warrant people like that being treated like dirt and/or physically harmed in some way, because I take issue with such a lack of compassion.

But still smaller than Sage, Jill, and Bella. Big boobs are popular, that's why you never see a VN with only flat-chested or even B-cup girls and why the LIs with the biggest chests are always the most popular.
That's not true, Look at another DPC game, Acting Lessons. Melissa's breasts were smaller than Megan's and Melissa was by far the more popular of the two.

The real Maya and Josy fans don't put up too much of a stink about it they know their story hasn't exactly been an easy ride by any means you'll get people like this squirming making it a bigger deal than it actually is.

Now i'm starting to correct you because this isn't the first time you've done this. :p I don't dislike them, i'm not interested, pretty big difference.

It wasn't the drama that made people dislike M&J but the lies, half truths (which can arguably be worse than lies) and hypocrisy that made people lose interest in them my self included. I guarantee you no one is gonna care about their favorite girl's drama as long as DPC doesn't pull another M&J on their route.
Maya making MC promise to be 100% honest with her when she herself knew she wouldn't do the same in return.
They hated him.. Because he spoke the truth..

It's insane how people ignoring simple situation. MC and Maya are attracted to each other. MC flirts and wants do have something real with Maya. Maya says you have to be real honest and commitment and I'm like tender etc while she is keeping the secret of having a fucking partner.

When that partner enters to the room and it is someone you know and also she is someone special to you. It's like impossible to be not shocked. I'm gonna quote myself from the past when pain was still fresh;
Definitely, I cannot understand who says MC is overreacting.. I mean Maya and Josy are the two Love Interests which was introduced at the earliest in the story. You have to take the story into progress, season 1 went by MC being romantically involved in these two girls. Add to that he is a teenager which did have very intimate moments with both of them. You might be thinking clearly and saying "just ignore them lol why cry", it does make sense to MC feel like this in the story.

I feel like people needs to empathize with MC more. He felt something for Josy, learned she had a partner but still she clung onto him. Then he met Maya, which was a like a friendly relationship which became something more later on both living in the same room.. Until someone else came to that room and secrets revealed. I honestly felt sad for the MC most of the time. Most people say he is not faultless or similar stuff, but you don't think like that in a moment of pain..

I even wished he had a harsher option to choose at the end of the library dialogue.
Thats was the times when I was a Maya fan.. I remember a lot of us departed the Mayan ship and exiled into cold harsh world.. Still flabbergasted some think its okay to hide that you are in a relationship.

I got a lot of heat for puttin Maya into the bottom of my tier list, titled "A wound that will hurt forever"..

Agreed. This actually puts Josy in a better spotlight because she had the decency to tell MC she was in a relationship after one kiss. It’s entirely the players choice to continue this cheating route after, and Josy can’t be blamed for wanting it since Maya was airing Josy for weeks making her feel like the relationship wasn’t there at all.

I can understand Maya not telling MC about her relationship because she’s insecure of being lesbian due to her upbringing, but there was no reason to hide it from Josy or leave her hanging. She basically played both MC and Josy.

What are you having to "correct"? I just acknowledged that you don't dislike them and that I don't have a problem with you not being interested in them. I even said my comments "aren't directed at you".

This is a significant distinction people overlook.

Ive said countless times, I don’t dislike them as characters, I don’t dislike the fact the MC is interested in them. I just wouldn’t date them. I don’t trust cheaters and have zero interest in them.

But for some reason people think if you don’t like them, you must dislike them... and then the snide comments and facepalms come out and I’m sitting here being told I don’t understand a story, I’m a simp into basic bitches with no appreciation for complex women all because I don’t trust cheaters.
