i thought Tybalts just there for comedic relief, you know, make MCs path to Jill somewhat annoying but amusing, not a serious competition for Jill, but we'll see, if he realizes enough is enough and become like his sneaky father

Yeah I never really got any actual sense of rivalry from Tybalt. There's zero attraction to him from Jill, and he acts like such a doofus that he's definitely more comedic relief than rival
