He might be pleasing the majority but he's also slowly but steadily alienating the minority.

They both had smaller fanbases than the other girls before the ep 3 reveal anyway and what fanbase they do have is simply drowned out by the others and they're considered pariahs.

I don't get why she is a cheater? Because she made out with MC while technically being with Josy in a relationship [Which is optional]? That's dumb, same thing could be said to MC a dozen times and I see no one bitching about that

Technically, she is still in a relationship with Josy as they hadn't officially broken up, but cheating isn't a black and white issue where every instance of it is wrong no matter what. There can be extenuating circumstances and other factors that often have to be taken into account with this sort of thing. What Maya was going through, for example, is one of those things because she wasn't doing this out of some callous disregard for Josy or their relationship in general, but because in her emotionally vulnerable state, she connected with another person on a deep level and felt a completey natural urge to explore those feelings.

Josy too did the same thing, and it's the number 1 reason why people cheat; a lack of emotional or physical intimacy. People can argue until they're blue in the face over there being no good reason to cheat, and I know I wouldn't like it if it happened to me, but if I knew that I wasn't giving my partner the love and affection that she deserves, then it would serve me right if I lost her to someone who could give her that.

Both Maya and Josy felt like they had found that with the MC, so whilst they were technically "cheating", there was nothing wrong with exploring these feelings, in my opinion.

Making out with someone else other than your significant other IS cheating, yes. I genuinely don't know how that has to be explained. And no, the MC isn't in a relationship with anyone so his actions are morally questionable at worst.

I hate myself for even playing the devil's advocate on this topic, I have absolutely no problem with these two girls. When Josy arrived at the end of EP3 I was fucking ecstatic, that is until I realized the MC is forced to be pissed and heartbroken over the situation.

That scene at the end of ep 3 was a major kick in the balls, and even after ep 4 and staying with them it still affected me, so I could understand why the MC was pissed because I was too. Not about the "lying", but because it felt like both of these girls would be lost if they got back together and I wasn't prepared for to lose both at the same time. After ep 5 I feel a bit better about it and can see a path forward, I just hope DPC doesn't crush that path like they did in AL.

It's probably two different groups, yeah. It's easier to straw man the whole thing, though.

I wouldn't defend her actions, but there are moments when you can see some softness to her and that she is shit scared of what she's gotten herself into.

I think she knows that what she's doing is wrong, but for one reason or another, she's doing it anyway and has now gotten herself into a position where she feels she can't get herself out. But I think players will eventually have the choice to help her get out and in the process, crack through that tough outer shell of hers, and I for one will do just that.

And yet therein lies the strange dichotomy; Maya who is not a bad character is perceived as such by a number of people and is why they have no interest in her, yet Quinn who is shown to be a bad person doing bad things is perceived as a good character and many people are interested in her despite her being legitimately bad.

I didn't have any bad feelings for them either, but I do wish DPC had made a bigger deal out of they're "cheating" in the ep 4 library scene by making them unsure of where they stood and instead made more of the fact that they have feelings for the MC as the reason why they agreed to "something more". As it is now, it feels like they did out of pity and that's not a good feeling.

That's only by the people here. Quinn is certainly not portrayed as an Angel in game, or a character you'd really want to help out like Maya.

You are acting as if there’s one set of things that make a character of interest to all people.
I never hated maya but I wasn’t particularly attracted to the docile sweet ingenue archetype. Clearly the people who wanted that got angry that she wasn’t quite that.

Personally I love lots of quinn’s Character traits. I love her She’s playful, assertive, independence etc. Nor do I particularly take a black and white view to all of her activities/plans that some do.

I mean there's already a clothing brand named Dickies that people likes to wear, also, i don't know where you live but people in the US doesn't care what others wears since people gets offended so easily on everything lol, but I agree, special renders are much better than merchandises.

There's nothing strange with that. People may find villains more interesting and complex, just like some find good guys bland and boring. Villains through their villainy, present to us the harsh realities that exist in the world. They provide us with glimpses of the real world and it’s problems. Some also change our perspectives on things and provide new insight into the way of the world. Villains are just broken heroes’. If someone made a movie on their journey from a hero to a ruthless villain, we’ll root for them ( Am I right Joker ?).

Thanos is a genocidal warlord, a hero killer and a horrible father, he's still the real star of Infinity War.
