Following on from my earlier, uninformed opinion, I would suggest that dark and black are synonymous terms that contextually apply to different genres. So To Die For could be described as a black comedy or a dark comedy and Seven could be described as a dark drama or black drama. In both cases, one of those descriptions is just wrong, despite there being nothing technically incorrect about them.
Dark and Black are synonyms. A Dark Comedy is a Black Comedy. Just a different term for the same theme.

I think it's more accurate to say you can't have either of them yet. You can indicate interest in one of them afterwards and, since I suspect Josy prefers more of a Dik than a Chick, she may very well be a potential LI for your MC (Maya seems so Chick focused that you'll probably not succeed with her)
Fuck that noise! Nobody put's baby in the corner!
Gonna plot to destroy those faithless skanks, playing with my emotions like that. As soon as I am numb enough to proceed with my plots...I need porn and booze, stat!

I wonder how you would feel if you had the exact same scenario, as you played it, but Maya was the MC

Themes are an entire college course so it won't take you a few minutes. Be patient. Here's something brief to get you started.

While I appreciate the only slightly condescending tone, it shouldn't take a college course to define two terms and Quora is about two steps below Wikipedia as far as credibility and usefulness. The thing is... we're not even really talking about 'dark' or 'heavy' themes as much as whether a singular event in a work is 'dark' or 'heavy' so I'm not 100% sure that all of this is even relevant.

I'm pretty sure I understand conceptually what you're getting at as far as a difference when it comes to entire works and general theme; i.e. Justice League is dark, but not heavy... whereas Saving Private Ryan is heavy, but not dark. Again though, how does this apply to a singular event, since that's what sparked off this entire debate? Issue is being taken with the claim that 'something dark' will happen in Bella's storyline and I still fail to see how that differs significantly from saying 'something heavy' will happen in her storyline (when realistically whatever happens is likely to be easily defined as either or both, IMHO).

I thought a dark comedy was when they shoot a funny movie with the lights out
LOL. In some cases, I think that's true... and not just for comedies. The entire pre-Wonder Woman DCEU, for example. I think they just wanted to save a few thousand bucks on lighting...

"Damage Control" is pretty obvious title if you know what happend in previews 2 episodes.

Do we have any good theories why Nick betrayed Diks with that post of Rooster?

Well, Nick being responsible is technically a theory as we don't know who leaked that Cathy pic on the DIK's account.

My money is still on Quinn as part of some scheme to distract the DIKs while she looked for their money stash that she probably found out about from Tommy.

Seems like the obvious choice. I still think that she is actually made to be seen like the villain but we do get hints that she is very desperate for money. Sometimes the obvious explanation is the one that is more likely to happen. I´m open to surprises, though (the tri beta theory is a good one. "Smart people making stupid ones fight each other for their own benefit" is a classic).

That just doesn't make sense.

Quinn distracted the DIKs so they'd leave the laptop unguarded so that she could use it to post the Cathy cluck which would in turn force the DIKs to run around frantically searching the mansion which would inevitably force her to call off her own search long before she could find anything? Really? Quinn has demonstrated she's no Moriarty, but even she can do better than that. Causing a highly public scandal that disrupts the party is anti-helpful.

*If* Quinn is behind the Cathy cluck, it has to be because someone paid her to do it (Dawe being the most likely suspect). That would still derive from Quinn's known desperation for money, but avoids requiring insane troll logic on Quinn's part.

But troll logic or hit job, either way I doubt Quinn is behind it. Episode 5 was all about Quinn selling out the DIKs in a desperate bid for money. Tommy has a big confrontation with her over it at the end of the episode. If Quinn was also behind the Cathy cluck, then we're going to be stuck repeating the exact same story beats whenever the truth comes out. What would that get us, other than making Episode 5 look even less significant in hindsight?

The most predictable suspect(s) in the issue between Cathy and DIK probably is not the one who did it, is Dr PinkCake style.
