The whole D&G was completely irrelevant, not needed. Instead of implementing it, DPC should have progressed with the story. I never found any of his decisions bad until know. He might have tried to make the episode longer like this, so that the game doesn't end that early, guessing he makes good dough with it. That is the only logical reason I could accept for such a seemingly bad layout.

Funny how Derek being stupid and a cheater he is, he has his college tuituion paid, but Maya needs to resort to whatever means necessary. Given that they are twins, I wonder why was it written like that.
Cause he is not gay. Maya gets tuition with the condition not to gay around. If she breaks the "contract" she will be on her own.

Derek and Maya's parents would have helped them, except the whole issue with the dad discovering Maya is into girls resulted in him assisting under condition that she stop seeing Josy.

Because after the confession that he's falling for her, DPC has essentially enforced a block on him fooling around with others, at least in this instance, in order to reflect his inner turmoil at having "played the field" without any thought to how it will affect those he's playing with. The MC's basically been given a stronger moral conscience at this time because of his confession to Jill and the realisation of his "man-whore" ways.
Not really, i got the confession AND the scenes (i'm on neutral path)

So, I've been thinking a lot about the ending of this episode and how it would seem to set us up for a major confrontation with Maya's Dad in the next episode, and whilst that is very likely, I feel like it could go in one of several different ways.
  1. The MC is waylayed by somebody and isn't with M&J when they enter the room.
    • This would certainly fit DPC's overly dramatic moments because those 2 walking in together would obviously be very bad for Maya and could cause some serious repurcussions, like her Dad forcing her to leave the college and go home with him to get her away from Josy.
  2. Maya goes ahead of the MC and Josy and enters the room first.
    • If Maya enters first and calls out, "Dad!", it would allow for Josy to be able to hold back from entering and either the MC stays with her and there could perhaps be a choice to stay outside or enter the room, and this might be followed by a choice to either confront her Dad or pretend to be her boyfriend.
  3. All 3 enter the room at the same time.
    • Similar to the previous one only this time the Dad will see Josy and start to become enraged, again leading to a possible choice to either confront the Dad or pretend to be Maya's boyfriend.
  4. Maya's Dad isn't in the room when they return.
    • This is another thing I think could be possible because of what it could mean for later and how it would fit DPC's penchant for shocking drama. We know he has a key and can get in any time he wants, but they don't, so if he's not in the room and ended up leaving because he couldn't find her, it means he could come back at an even more inconvenient time, say, when Josy and Maya are in bed together. This could cause her Dad to fly completely off the handle and maybe even drag Maya out and take her home to get her away from Josy.
Right now I really can't say which one I feel is more likely, but 2 & 3 are the kind of thing you might see in a rom-com type movie and I feel like this game largely doesn't have that tone anymore, so 1 & 4 are possibly more likely as they're much more dramatic and more emotionally impactful, which seems to be DPC's bread and butter.

What do you guys think?
They don't know that Maya's father is in her room, they all come in together for me, when he see Josy with her, the father begins to get angry and argue with his daughter, the MC can intervene saying that he is Maya's boyfriend, and Josy is only the roommate, the father distrusts and goes in search of Derek to ask him if what the MC told him is true, but it would be a very easy solution.

The other situation that I could imagine is that the father gets furious and tries to take Maya from B&R, the MC stands between them and defends her, preventing him from taking her home, the father goes home in a rage screaming this is not going to end like this. After Maya, Josy and the MC go back to the room, they start looking for a solution to Maya's problem, then he offers to pay for the semester or her tuition, (it depends on the value of money, it's not really clear), Maya starts to cry and thanks MC and tells him that he is one of the best people she has ever met.

If I remember correctly, the only people the MC told him about his mother's inheritance was Jill or Sage. That the MC offers to pay would be a big surprise for Maya and Josy.

There is something i don't like about the Maya & J storyline, or how it is written, you have the same behavior and dialogs for both of them if they decide to exclude you or if they wanted you in but you refused, it shouldn't be like this, if they wanted you, you should have different dialogs, they should still try to get you in, they should let you kiss them at least in the D&G...etc

I thought it was fun, it just needed a payoff at the end (if he saved Sally or something and she gave him a bashful peck on the cheek, that would have been something). Dying while protecting Jill and getting a kiss for it in the first game worked out nicely. Even more fun would be, depending on the relationship between the participants, saving Jill again (or Josy or Maya) and getting a kiss on the lips with varying responses from the others as they watched would have been classic (no one in the room is quite aware of the MC's philandering ways just yet). Instead it did end rather flat even if you did win the game.

Maya's tuition is paid for, but if her father finds out about her and Josy he will take it all back forcing her to be on her own. That's why she was hoping to get free tuition from the HOTS.
The whole Dad controlling the loan money is a prime example of DPC's badly contrived plots. I don't know how it is in other countries but in the US banking law dictates that a loan has to be used for the stated purpose that it is applied for, in other words, you can't just take a loan for bill consolidation or college and then put it in investments and draw interest from it. The loans are also made on a per semester basis, they don't just give you the money for four years of College and you keep it around until you pay for each semester. In the Maya scenario, her first loan is already made and the money for the first semester paid. Also, she doesn't need a co-signer, they're called Guaranteed Student Loan's for a reason, the Federal Government is your co-signer. Finally, the money is disbursed to the primary applicant, and sometimes to the College directly, Maya's Father would never be able to touch that money.

They treat you as a close friend even after rejecting you. There should have been three branches:
  • Threesome relationship
  • Mutually agreed platonic relationship
  • Forced platonic relationship
The problem is the last two are rolled into one, in real life if you wanted more and they said no, you wouldn't just keep hanging out like nothing's changed, but that's how it goes here.

I see, so she wants free tuition, so her parents won't take her away from college. Great writting! take kids away from college because they are gay, i think most parents would prevent their offspring education based on that. But anyways, the damage isn't so great after all. I thought he was going to have actual financial problems.

I hope fucking not that DPC got rid of the RomCom/Comedy elements. This is a college story, with a Fraternity and the whole premise is still College Adventures. If DPC gets rid of the comedy early on, well:

(i) This game will be one long melodramatic spiral because if he can't use comedy and lightness to keep the plot going and interest high, he will use melodrama, and once you start there, you always need to top yourself.

(ii) Derek will be useless and something will be done towards him. Main comic relief guy isn't going to survive or fit well into this Nicholas Sparks story.

(iii) DIKs will either become like Derek, things to phase out, or, worse, also become a font of even more drama (please God no).

(iv) this game will be a chore. Sure, it will still have DPC's great writing, but it will indulge on his worst habits and tendencies, specially for overdramatic moments and 'events'. The entire premise is based on the American Pie/Animal House story, and DPC himself said it'd be much lighter than AL and stuff (or so I remember). If this drastic change is done, so early, it's because DPC decided to say fuck it and indulge himself in the worst way possible. And that's how we gonna get WoT later books.

Overly religious fruitcakes have done worse things in real life, but yeah it's a contrivance to set up the drama, the best approach now is to accept it and move on, considering the ridiculous suspension of disbelief so many other porn games require, this isn't too much of a stretch.

I love BaDIK so much that I prefer to play it (and only Badik) from the scratch with every update. Thank u for this great game.
I agree, if you do this each time (and we're talking a replay every 6 months or whatever), each time it would put the new episode into better context and I think people would be less disappointed. Diving in and playing only the most recent episode every time it's released after a hiatus of a few months is sure to leave people a little sour.

I don't think this is accurate, don't see anything within this scene preventing getting the 3some after the Jill date?

Wait why can't I see the Nicole/Sandy threesome? My dude goes up to the bar, looks at the picture of Jill and doesn't order the shots?
Envy has to like you, which is achieved by getting the good outcome during the last Swyper chat in v0.5 (if you can't see Nicole in Swyper in Ep6, then she doesn't like you romantically).

When Sandy takes the photo at MacAllen's bar, if Envy likes you she'll ask if you want to pose with her & sits in your lap if you agree (leads to 3some opportunity). Otherwise Sandy tells Envy where to stand.

I totally agree with all of those concerns. The number of times I laughed out loud at different scenes in the earlier episodes was great. Hopefully Derek and Ash become a couple while Derek still gets up to crazy hi-jinks on the side and shits himself (in a funny Derek way) about Ashley finding out.

Most adult games have a very simple premise, with overly explicit dialogue, like watching a porn movie. And I don't want to see a porn movie here, I like what he's doing, a fairly realistic story about the life of some young university students and their problems (who hasn't had love problems?) And of course showing the sexual scenes or erotics which adds a plus. I came for the faps and I stayed for the story and its characters.

There is no other vn at Badik's level, that makes the wait between each episode sadder.
We wait for so many days for the update, you download it and in one day you finish it and it leaves you with the feeling of impatience having to wait 4 or 5 months for another episode.
