I actually find Megan better just because of her personality, but that's just me. But it's like I said earlier, I was also biased because of the real girl named Megan in my life. Maybe if Josy's route was different from the beginning I would've changed how I think about her. I have no intention on going that route even when I finish the game after the pure Jill route I'm on. The ONLY way I would chase Josy is if, down the line, her single route becomes available, but it would take a lot of willpower for me to do that knowing she interacts with Jill in the later episodes.

Yeah it's like a game I played last week (A Mother's Love) where you start off with an LI (Chloe) who I couldn't personally stand and couldn't wait to drop her like a potato sack and just focus on Nicole (her mother.)

Yep, that's one of the reasons I call Megan from AL, Discount Josy. An uglier version of Josy and DPC used his same idea of assuming I'd immediately be in love with a girl just because she's there. It took many more episodes and Josy coming to B&R before I put her on my yes list. However, the character Megan never worked for me.

I never liked the AVN strategy of starting out with a girlfriend or LI. The writer is assuming I'll be in love with her from the beginning. But what if I'm not? That pretty much blows the entire narrative out of the water (especially in AL). Thankfully, I warmed up to Josy later, but that's a risk DPC seems to like taking in his stories.
not quite the same situation

Josy more than being MC's girlfriend, the chosen one, is in fact his ex right away.
They basically just say goodbye to each other at every opportunity (goodbye, I'm going to college, goodbye, I'm not going to college, goodbye, you're a liar, goodbye, Maya is scared).

yes, poor trend, too commonplace.

i hope bella warms josy up in a house fire.

One of the most important choices an AVN can give a player is the choice of which LI(s) to romance (or not). In almost every game I play that starts me out with a girlfriend, I immediately look for ways to dump her or cheat on her. I'd rather be the master of my own romantic destiny thank you. A big reason AL didn't affect me emotionally is I didn't give a damn about Megan and was quite happy to leave her at the BBQ.

Girlfriend/LI/Ex, no matter. The point is DPC assumes I am already in love with Josy at the start of the game when in fact I, the player, am not.

Quinn might presented the idea but it was Sage who decided to go along with it. If Sage said no, we're going to DIK's there is nothing Quinn could do. And she choose to go along with that plan because it was better offer financially (and yes, it was a better offer) compared to what DIK's offered. Problem is that Sage didn't realized that Quinn planned to steal the money they got from AnO to attend their party so she could use it for herself.

The only thing Quinn did that caused the mess is not letting Rusty and Tommy know they won't be showing up... which is something she was supposed to do and something Sage (and pretty much every other HOT) believed Quinn did and were all surprised when MC let them know that she didn't do it. Well, that and Tommy being Tommy.

As for everything else... there is a whole lot of future tense you use to describe Quinn's importance to the story. Thing that will maybe happen at some point in the future. But in the present... she is almost completely irrelevant outside of Maya's storyline. She could just as easily be a shadow character that we haven't seen yet.
Quinn practically runs the HOTs, Sage even acknowledges this when you stay with her in Ep 4, so since Quinn proposed this plan, Sage likely wouldn't have said 'no' since she's pretty much abdicated all responsibility to Quinn. The only uncertainty was whether Tybalt would accept whatever Quinn came up with for Sage to offer him, and he did, and the fact that he did meant that the HOTs went to the Prep party instead of the DIKs, which led to the DIK mansion getting trashed and led to Jill getting blackmailed by Tybalt because the MC crashed the party. These are both significant things that affect the MC and were both caused because Quinn exists in this story.

With regards to the "better offer", that's likely how Quinn would have put it to Sage, probably proposing they could get donations from the wealthy guests, but this so-called "better offer" was really just Quinn thinking she'd get several Preps to buy high-end drugs and become regular customers and it didn't work out that way for her. So she wasn't planning to "steal" the money for herself because the money was never meant for the HOTs, it was always for herself.

You keep trying to minimise Quinn's involvement in this story, but she's been the arbiter of several events and moments so far that have impacted the MC besides those involving Maya, and it's clear to see that her actions will have consequences in the future that will further impact the MC.

I know what you mean. This is probably the modern AVN trend that i really dislike, because you feel like you're trapped if you don't like the "girlfriend" character. It's really bad when you don't even have the possibility of ditching her, like some Harem games, since in most you can't end thing with girls, but just add more to the "party".

But Josy i see more like a subversion of this trope. Yes, the MC starts interested in her, but in their first date things go poorly and the dude has his heart broken right there, in the game intro. For me, the "main girl" in this game is Maya, mostly because the introduction to B&R is with her, and she is the LI with most screen time at the first chapters of the game. Josy kind of goes away after the intro, and besides the dinner, she rejoins the plot just in chapter 4. The girlfriend character for me is like the cross you carry for most of the games they're in.

thank you ExDeath730
you explained better what, out of haste, I only said as a joke

in many games there is a girl who is illuminated by the beacon of destiny, she is the one you should be with if you want to be really happy.

in BADIK maybe Jill has these charactaristics

but certainly not Josy, Josy is the one you want to be with but at every step there are reasons why you can not

it is true, the game starts and you are told that you have had a crush on her all summer, then you are told that you have very strong feelings for Maya too, it serves the story, we have to be there.

but it's already finished this obligation, at the fourth chapter you can tell her that you are just friends, and at the fifth officially say that you no longer feel anything for them

Meghan you brought her to the end of the game and there was no way to distance yourself from her, to be with anyone else you had to betray her, it was a legal obligation.

don't warn us about pregnancy and then prevent us from wearing a condom.
yep exactly. i rolled back my decision on the fake id and night with envy / sandy scene solely because the scene makes MC cum inside one of them which I found absurd. I've been in situations like that IRL - if you're not wearing a condom then AT MINIMUM you grab the girl's hips and lift her straight up into the air right before your cannon goes off, you don't just "hope for the best", :ROFLMAO: . That scene's got "future pregnancy" written all over it.

anytime i have sex with a girl, IRL, or in a game like this, i ask myself am i okay getting her pregnant - if the answer is no, then i always pull and in a game like this if it doesn't give me the option to control where i cum then i will roll back and opt out of that situation every time.

"Future pregnancy" especially when one of those girls already has a kid

Well I'm nutting in everything regardless. F95 - all of the fun, none of the responsibilities. I'm sure DPC wouldn't include that much of a time skip where we would have to worry about raising a kid.

At least I hope he wouldn't anyway. This is the porn game world after all, so I'd have serious concerns about leaving my teenage son alone with my baby mama. AVN karma for the countless "landlords" I've cucked on F95.

My MC doesn't care at all, he would have always cum inside of pussy if given opportunity to do so :p He is very excited to name his childs with Lynette's family name or Neil's family name.
I liked that scene with Quinn where she asks the MC to cum against her pussy and then MC does the same thing again with Lily
