Hey DIK's ;)
Playing lately on a different path I saw 2 things, that somehow are a little weird for me, maybe someone could give a hint (there may be a minor things, but better to ask).

1. Did someone also had an issue with the game not making the autosaves of the game? And before you ask - yes, I have autosave enabled in game settings (I know my question can be stupid, but I'm not THAT stupid ;))

2. This one isn't that big, but just a thought.
Did someone maybe had a feeling, that something changed with the Micha/Ida thing on Swyper? What I'm saying is that I always had a certain way that I make the dialog with Ida on Swyper in Ep. 4 and it always works to continue in Ep. 6 with "Micha". But lately I saw, that the same dialog in Ep. 4 makes the Swyper dialog in Ep.6 unavaible, because after swyping up (to make fun of her ;)), there's an info about not finding a match.

Thank you for you answers. Have a good day :)

Do we know what the interlude will be like? As in gameplay.

To me it seems like it is to give us background on Zoey before she joins the main game. We already have this for other characters with flashbacks during prologues (we know about the formation of the DIKs, Jill's family, Isabella's marriage, Quinn's life etc.).

As far as I can tell, Zoey will just be given a super long version of these prologues to give us a ton of information about her and what she's been up to. I'm with this, but unless there are some choices to make in it that will change things later or has some gameplay elements (a free roam maybe), I don't see why it needs to be long enough to be a separate release. I guess we'll see.

Then in a Jill path storyline, that may help MC (in Jill's parent's eyes) in that he helped Jill with the recital?
Jill's mother could turn out to be an ally for MC, if he can play his cards right without bullshitting.
That he helped Jill during the recital could be a big plus for MC imho.
The father, on the other hand, I think will be a big obstacle ...

The game is a comedy, often the events are bordering on ridiculous (a lot of Derek's hijinks), so while the drama is to be taken somewhat seriously, I don't think it's meant to be all that stressful.
Not really, DIK related business aside the drama is what drives the main story. Best way to describe it is as a tragicomedy.

Uhm, I just wanted to continue the game, but when I load the save file (I think I am still in episode 7) in the latest version, all my progress is gone. I mean the unlocks, everything is set to 0/xx and all the scenes are gone... Is there an issue with older saves or what is going on?

But every item you've listed has already happened. There is nothing to be done about them:
  • Mc motherless and with a bullied past - just back story, we don't need to care and do anything about it.
  • Bella with a "broken" marriage and other dramas to be discovered - still nothing for us to care about, just information pending.
  • Maya despised and controlled by her father - this is the item I referenced above as the only serious, active drama.
  • Jill has lost a sister as a girl - nothing we can do about it
  • Sage with a difficult past and a present characterized by a relationship in which she was only used as a cover and a father who is her worst enemy - her family relationship doesn't really sound like a big deal, Chad's using her as cover was resolved simply.
  • Josy is doing a little better, she just has an unhappy relationship with the new part of her family - no big deal at all, even her relationship with Tommy isn't posing any kind of issue.
  • Quinn has a terrible past and a present downhill towards damnation - From the look on her face at the end of ep8, she's pretty happy, her only concern is her turnover.
So like I mentioned, the game touches on delicate subjects (death in a family, unfaithfulness, possible mental health issues, sexual orientation bigotry), but none of them, except Maya's predicament, require us to actually care.

The drug dealing and prostitution story arc is a little menacing, but there's no immediate threat to anyone other than Quinn, but this is the one story arc (involving Vinny) that I can see has the potential to get darker.

A note regarding the blackmail, Jill doesn't really leave the mc. She's still with him as much as, or even more than, previous episodes. They play DnG together (Tybalt even catches them and Sally tells him to fuck off), they go running together, they almost make-out in her room. His blackmail had no real consequences.
DPC always said this was going to be a more lighthearted story, this is not an excuse for potential bad writing, but I think some people here were expecting really bad shit to happen due to AL's infamous reputation, but instead we are presented with relatively mild resolutions to all the drama. I personally don't mind it, actually, I prefer it to be this way rather than another batshit crazy story. But of course this will all be subjective to each person's likings.

Alright you fiends, I have ONE reaction, which one of you turkey-jerkers wants it?

I think a lot of people, after the Acting Lessons ending, was expecting a very dark turn in this game almost from the get-go. It is dark, I will admit; with Quinn's business and the drugs, but so far, there's nothing darker than that.

College pregnancy is actually a real thing, so that's not impossible to see in this game.
I don't know if anyone is going to spin out and go nuts on campus though. The only one so far, that I have personally scene, is Bella fighting her emotions over James, and I expect a lot of drama there, whether I'm on her route or not, because I'm sure she'll tell Jill and the MC about it.

I don't know how dark DPC is willing to go here. I never went away to college, so I don't know, but take a look in the papers and the news everyday, especially here in the States, from middle and high schools on up. It's a pretty dark time to be a student.

I don't think so

do you think that in Lynette's diary it will be all stupid trifles? do you think that somehow we won't have to deal with the causes or the consequences of Lana's death? do you think that with Bianca it will be all a cheerful telling of anecdotes about Lynette? how can you consider closed the question of Chad? and Bella's husband dead or alive sooner or later will come out and I don't think they will be moments of fat laughs...

yes in fact drugs and prostitution could be a little bit threatening for the future of the boys... a little bit? like Riona's stalker who is sure to be a reliable and funny prankster

if you minimize every dramatic moment it's actually not that dramatic, the game could be called "the absurd adventures of the all laughing mad trio Arieth, Tybalt and Derek"

Truth is, DPC seems to set big dramas along the story, that actually are easily solved. Quinn being short of money seemed to be a big issue, with her aggression and all, but at the end she got the money from the girls of Pink Rose and the drama ended up in nothing. Jill being blackmailed seemed to be a big issue, but at the end she grows a pair, sends Tyb to hell and not even the help of Tremolo is needed. Cathy´s cluck seemed to be a big issue, but at the end it only had mild consequences. Jade is happy with her new job and the DIKs dodged the bullet. The thrashing of the house seemed to be a big issue, but at the end was resolved. Chad being gay seemed to be a big issue, but at the end Sage had a mature attitude (way more mature than Chad's) and the drama ended up in nothing. Maya´s drama seemed to be a big issue, but we all know that the money of Sage´s daddy will solve it, even if there is some kind of struggle...

Maybe DPC is fooling us. He likes drama, that´s for sure. The ending of his previous game proves that. But probably he has learned his lesson after the criticism for that ending. It seems that he sets what at first sight seem to going to be big troubles with dramatic consequences, but at the end are only storms into a glass of water.

At first sight, I can´t see how Isabella´s and Quinn´s plotlines could end well. Apparently, DPC seems to be preparing us for another terrible ending, with Isabella having a mayor psychological break down or even committing suicide, and Quinn in jail or even being killed by drug dealers. But I don´t know. Maybe is just DPC mistaking the general tone of the story and being overdramatic, and at the end all those dramas will be solved. Probably with the intervention of Tremolo´s golden heart and magic cock ;)
in reality there is very little resolved, all postponed to the next episode, there is always an episode in which something will happen, but not this one, the next one

if Nick was a spy, or whoever, sooner or later it will be a problem to face
if Quinn's problems were solved there would not be the looming shadow of Vinnie
etc..

why, with Sage do you see it as a simple happy ending? with her not wanting to commit yet and in a few months she'll be gone? and keeping Maya and Josy together will be simple? only for Jill at this point in the story it all seems pretty quiet, am the ghosts of the past will come for her too

Peops will find out that Troy and Chad are Gay, then this two Psychos will fuck all up as a revival of the Columbine Massacre.

Dunno but in this sort of School things and knowing that this game is from DPC gives me this sort of vibe.:whistle:

One thing that's nagging at me about Bella is the locked room. Not the contents per se, but that it apparently wasn't locked until MC came around. Jill didn't know that it had been locked (low bar, but still), which means she probably knows what's inside.
