it seems obvious to me that DPC does this to distract himself, so using the same "scheme" is a trick that doesn't work.

Minigames break the routine of the gameplay and encourage players to invest themselves in a different way; rather than relying on choices, they call upon reflexes, concentration, etc... They also fill in certain events and thus create specific situations if you success or fail. But being quite short, they need to be renewed otherwise people get bored of them.
After 10 rounds of bossing around DIKs, I'm pretty relieved to complete the house renovation and see the consequences. Besides, nothing says that the next minigame will be lame.

the rewards, at least in BADIK, are quite weak, in the end what do you give up by skipping? a few renders, which still has no impact on the game
then I continue to have problems with the idea of a mini-game that should distract me from the game I'm playing ... if I play BADIK it is because i want, if at some point I'm bored I'll play something else, a real game, not a pastime like "bathroom break" ...
however it is not a problem, you can skype it

Not exactly, Quinn will only reject the MC if they were acquainted. A neutral MC on Jill & Sage path and who didn't bond with Quinn in EP6 can unlock the threesome. Quinn will just mention she doesn't even like him. Which means she really wanted to fuck Sage.

A question for people who know who the underlying game engine works, maybe... how much effort would DPC need to invest to make the mini-games individually optional? I had to go back and do a whole re-run with all those goddamned Gender Studies quizzes, just so I could play the mansion mini-game again.
Given that everyone will have their own opinions on which mini-games suck and which ones are fun, why not let us check-box each separate one so that we play these, but don't play those ... is that even practical in this game engine?

as of now for the first 8 episodes? quite a lot. I think it's at least a week of doing nothing but that. in the third season, since it's not even out yet, it's completely possible to add a "skip mini-game" button to the ones that are not timed, for timed ones like brawler it's a bit more difficult but still possible. but I'm not sure if DPC would want to do that. and tbh I wouldn't consider Gender Studies a mini-game, you just pretending to listen to someone's bullshit and some of the "wrong" answers are better than correct ones

The development times are not going to go down anymore... We are getting closer and closer to the dreaded one update per year.
He is not going to hire anyone, ever, ever, for any game he makes.
DPC reads Dalli and says Dalli is right.
There are many answers that give good info, others that just dodge the question gracefully and others designed to mislead... I liked it overall.
It was clear to me that DPC would not hire anyone. In Germany, there is a saying that makes this clear. "Many cooks spoil the broth".
Development times will not get any longer. I expect DPC to want to have 3 releases in 2022. Whether it will make it is another question.

The interlude is used to answer questions from the past for the player and prepare them for EP9.
Coins example:
In the flashback of Neil and Zoey, you learn that Neil collects coins. Tommy has a coin, Bert also collects coins, and when the MC meets Isabella in EP2, he falls down and sees a coin as well. Shortly after, we learn that Isabella and Neil have the same favorite song.
Zoey has taught the MC a lot. Smoking, skateboarding and how to talk to girls. Probably the MC's first experience with women was exclusively with Zoey. What does the MC say about this? It's weird that his best friend is a girl.

Since their first threesome in EP6, we know that just watching makes Josy horny. Maybe Josy will also get horny when she sees Maya fucking another girl? Zoey would actually be the right one, because at least the MC has already fucked her. Maybe the girls already know each other and we only find out in Interlude. There's certainly not much game about it. I would guess that for most players, that's the most boring one of the lot.
I like math and word games, I suck at the "stay within the lines" games as my cursor control is not good (nerve damage), and I'd dearly love to be able to play the mansion mini-game and beat the crap out of people without having to do all the others.
