Dude I seriously disagree on that body part aspect - masked girl does not rock the D's in terms of bra size - she is as petite as Sarah. Also 5 miles in US is not a walking distance - she would have to drive after the party while being drunk (also having someone to invite her, we did not get a hint at the established connections). Her messages also indicate that she is fully content with her local bars and party joints - why would she go to a college party?

So what are we considering paths right now? I did the normal ones (Jill, Sage, JosyMaya, Bella) But I had a couple were it feels like Lily/Envy was a thing, Riona, Quinn, Camilla potentially and I went and made a Zoey route just in case.

Now it feels like I have 10 saves or some shit.

Yup. And when you start to account for possible affinity, choice, and cheating variations, the number of potential paths/ branches skyrockets.

Personally I think it’s a good idea to leave an extra save for each potential route at the start of S3, so you have the opportunity to explore variants without doing a complete run from the beginning.

Derek had potential, but he did not manage to own his asstronaut persona. Zoey gave him some nice pointers on that.
I would actually nominate Nicole and Jamcole at the same time, but alas. Quinn would totally dig that idea, I think.
As for the facepalm-inducing costumes
I'm pretty sure banana was there to cause one, but Sage, Camila got it out of me instead. Shit was lazy af, coming from the core HOT members.
Just imagine if Sage came dressed as Tybalt. Suffocatingly terrifying, right? That maya + sage + jill dialogue on a coach would get an additional kick to it.

It does make sense from asset utilisation perspective, but I honestly think she would have given us (as players) some sort of clue if it was indeed Ellie behind that mask - MC is pretty recognisable in that outfit, and from storytelling perspective it does not make sense if she stays incognito at that moment unless she has some ulterior motive.

I get the feeling that there is no solo route for them IF you decide to go for the throuple in the first place. The MC turns out to be the "glue" for them.

But if you are NOT on the throuple path, its a whole other deal... you can still have feelings for either one of them, and they do too... and this already leads to some interesting scenes (especially with Josy) There is a break up scenario coming, for sure.

But on the throuple path? Dont know, it seems that it goes better and better for them the longer they are staying with the MC.

EP7 was the biggest "hurdle" so far with the encounter with Mayas dad and her leaving the HOTs while Josy joined them. At the End of EP7 Sage was dealing with it and it was clear, this will help all three. On the throuple path in ep 8 everything is more than peachy, the MC makes an effort to help them agian with a date-night at his place, the dorm party was just awesome for them too. Here you can see, fuck they are all in love with each other.

Between Maya and Josy alone there is friction, still as we can see in EP9... but with the MC in this thing... everythings turns out just fine all the time. I dont see that changing. For the solo routes i think you dont have to be in the throuple.

IF the throuple breaks up, i would say it is for good... and not that MC and one of them will be together afterwards. Would be pretty upfucked too... like "hey Josy/Maya go away we want to fuck alone now we dont like you anymore" outsch. Rellay, i dont see that coming...

Iam not even sure there will be a Maya solo path anyways. Yeah you can have feelings for her, but there is not much happening. Nearly nothing. With Josy its a total other deal here.

Most people here think "ah there will be a happy solo ending with every girl in the end anyways" i dont think so. I see some "relationships" already doomed... May and Josy without the MC will not hold, a run for Quinn will not work out. I think for Quinn there will be a rather dark ending in the end, or one where she has to leave everything behind. A happy peachy rainbow ending for Quinn together with the Mc in the end and Neil cheering them on getting married (to exagerate a bit)?? Fuck no... how? There will one dark ending for her and one "ok" ending but not a real happy one. She is already way to deep in shit, and on her path she even drags MC into it too now as her bodyguard. She tosses Rio under the truck already (quinn sets her pretty much up as the one to blame that they lack on money)... there will be no happy ending with Quinn. MAYBE a kinda dark ending where the MC goes complete on the dark side too, that could be ruled as a somewhat happy ending i guess... the MC has to be pretty much an asshole to get together with Quinn anyways... would fit though.

Well but the matter is Josy and Maya... at this point, iam sure there will be a Josy solo route, and it will come during this Season 3. Maybe already in the very next episode but for sure at the end of the season. But i only see this route if you are NOT in the throuple. For Maya i dont see a solo route so far. And iam honest here... i dont want one. It just doesnt felt right at this point... there has to be way more development in that direction to make sense for a Maya solo route. And to be frank... DPC has enough shit on his plate.

Simply, there cant be a solo route for everyone. Neither many girls will get a throuple ending (i woudl say Maya and Josy will be the only throuple anyways... there might be a kinda cheating route with for other girls though)... Everyone is like "oooh yeah i want a Bella and Jill throuple route, oh yeah i want a Nicole and Lily throuple route" and so one. get real people... yeah its a porn game after all. But DPC is not that kind of guy who will throw around throuples or a somewhat harem solution just to get the MC with as many girls as possible to please every porn fantasie out there. He did even MORE branching now on the others path... fuck around with everyone is not possible anymore, and the threesome with Lily and Nicole is a one timer as it seems too. That was made clear with the "spooning" in the end.

The sex stats and checks how many times you've been with them are proving otherwise. I'm sure that Josy solo branch is coming on their path and other LI's. I think Maya gonna leave something like Cathy scenario.

My only desire regarding the dark twist is not have just an epilogue like in AL, I'd love there to be a proper aftermath and character growth/fall from it. An actual fallout.

If the game ends all perfect and rainbows, I'm good with that too. But if it goes dark, I don't want it to happen at the 95% stage like in AL. Because I'd like to see how the characters are impacted, even more so if DPC has the balls to kill off the MC, I'd like to see how everyone gets affected by it, depending on how you behaved with everyone.

On a serious note, the chance of MC dying is like 0.01%. But whatever happens in BaDIK, I just want more fallout, and not: everybody died, but MC got married and he and LI lived happily ever after. The in between is a gold mine for character deep dives, reactions, story, guilt, character growth, characters falling from grace, emotional content.

We are definitely at the stage of emotional conflicts for sure, cheating variables are proof to that, some of the dialogues in Others branch indicate of rekindling relationships - it's gonna be great storytelling as usual.
That being said, the perfect vanilla happy end relationship is also a possibility when i comes to Jill branch? Although i sense trouble brewing with that connection between MC mother and hers, Bella's relationship is too complicated to be a happy end, and J/M one is trouble in paradise. Sage being a happy ending may depend on Jade choices, but also i have my doubts about rebound comments that MC made along the line.
Overall, each path would have its own complications and doubts and cheating opportunities. Unless Karen goes full Stan and does something stupid on top of that

CHICK path with Jill makes sense because MC would be in touch with his and her emotions - that's why he stands up for her, he would rather be mocked than letting her being uncomfortable in that scenario - seeing this being a CHICK path, we are not being cocky or rude to our brothers - we are simply standing up for her.

With Sage it's the other way around - as a DIK we are not caring what she does when it comes to our brothers - we let her establish the grounds of our relationship, with us being a freshman and her knowing the guys for 2+ years - we trust her to do the right thing for her, and inevitably letting her mock our brothers by establishing some dominance over THEM, not US. This is not about wearing pants in this relationship - this is still about being fuck buddies, but in official capacity (also a possible conflict of characters' dominance going further).

Honestly I understand why people feel underwhelmed by ep9 - I thought so too after finishing my blind playthrough (which happens to be DIK Sage path) and felt a little sad by the same points that the majority of disappointed people highlight - seems underwhelming, not a lot of content compared to ep8, no meaningful plot advancement, too much free roam etc...
So I have replayed the whole game 6 times over the span of several days covering all major branches, and now I appreciate ep9 for what it is - an opening to Season 3.
By now we can all agree that we can trust the good Doctor when it comes to storytelling, and we needed this party tailored to all of the branches for each of them to work when it comes to the bigger picture - yes, that meant less content for a single branch, and it was heart-breaking to see the breakups when you are emotionally invested in each of the relationships across multiple saves, but honestly I feel that people who complain the most just have 1 or 2 saves and did not get to experience all of the content.

Going forwards seeing that we have "cheat" points introduced now, we will see most (or maybe even all/depending on choices?) branches overlap at some stage and from both story and development perspective that makes sense. Will MC feel like crap about cheating? Yes he most certainly will, but that's classic DrPinkCake play on emotions.
Ep8 had everything - character development, plot advancement, relationships advancement (or rather choices and consequences wrap up), plot twists and plenty of sexy content because it was a season finale, that is what it needed to be. Ep12 will be the same, and the brand new journey towards that has just begun. Interlude provided plot advancement (or whatever you wish to call it - it still was a plot heavy release), and now we get the sex focused episode. Ep10 will either be plot focused or balanced for sure (Christmas party will probably be in ep11 or 12 unless it's rushed).

I don't feel disappointed anymore - I feel excited for what's to come - each branch ended on amazingly great cliff-hanger alongside Derek's discovery(the battery in the bug is low, so that's why it was not flashing before and he did not notice it sooner), can't wait to explore them all further!!! ("don't fall in love with me" struck a special chord for me)

That being said even further branching with the new LI girls (that being said who the fuck is that blue-eyed masked girl? very mysterious) might seem like a red flag to development times, but theories aside we shall see the impact of that in ep10 for sure.

In conclusion - don't get your DIK soft, brothers - this is still THE best VN out there. Cheers to the good Doctor!

I think most people think it’s underwhelming for a couple of reasons. 1 is the fact that it’s 90% free roam at one event. 2. is that it doesn’t feel bigger than any other episode despite taking 9 months to develop. 3. They don’t feel the plot was moved forward.

I tend to disagree on the first and third point. I do think it doesn’t feel consequentially larger as to justify it’s extra 3 months in development from the previous releases.

My first gut feeling was that it's 'Priscilla', the girl Burke calls after Maya blabbers about the free tuition. Maybe she is the OG former HOT who set the "pussy for tuition" scheme up back in the day and now she uses the chance to wear a costume to quiz people and get Burke some info. It's also very suspicious that our only convo with her is in the same room where Derek finds the surveillance device. I mean you gotta assume Burke is smart enough to figure our that Maya told the MC about it, so damage control + information ? All speculation obviously, but DPC having Burke mention her without any need for it, kinda makes me wanna believe it was the first bread crumb.
