I'm banned too. Because of a misunderstanding that english not being my mothertounge caused. And then they banned me before I could explain. I would really like to support the guy because his work is amazing but if he bans me from patreon then there's not much I can do...

The impact from the RTX 4090s in BAK was minimal since DPC started doing 60fps animations (and some 90/120 ones too for some god forsaken reason) around the same time he upgraded his PCs.

The RTX 5090 will be quite powerful as I said before, the bigger VRAM would be specially useful for DPC when he needs to render complex scenes like the costume competion scene with all the party present.

He also mentioned running out of system RAM as well while rendering, so a PC upgrade wouldn't go amiss.

Of course we can't say for certain how much that would improve speeds, like you said DPC can always find something to waste most of the power from it.

I doubt he would do 4K, but he could easily tweak some DAZ settings to improve the render quality in a very minor way and waste all the perfomance.

However, I doubt he would upgrade his GPUs this soon though, it would be a substatial purchase (even if he could afford it with just a month of patreon money).

DPC annouced he was upgrading to the 4090s in 07/04/23, roughly 6 months after they were released during EP 10 development.


Yeah, DPC is immune unless he does something completly retarted, which he won't, since as much as we like to insult him here, he is not dumb.

Also Geralt, since you are a DAZ user, would you say that DPC could increase the light rays amount in his renders to "lose" the extra performance from an eventual upgrade to a RTX 5090?

People like to demonize DPC. He is selfish, narcissistic and toxic, but he is still a human being, not a robot. Most of the mods in his discord server suffer from little boss syndrome and interpret his rules very loosely. They can ban by accident, for example, by mixing up nicknames. And the problem is that this cannot be challenged in any way, it is a final and irrevocable decision.
I even wonder how many people he's banned on Discord and Patreon. Maybe it's 200-300 people, maybe it's about a thousand.

6) Showing that you support him? Probably, but it's hard to accept given his arrogant and toxic behavior. He's asking for support but at the same time he ( most likely his mods) are ban for any crooked look in the direction of DPC.
Criticism is important and needed, but it feels like he only gets feedback by reading this thread, lol.

I joined his dc where I asked a question about game turning off. Apparently it has some places where the game checks for mod usage which I did not had at the time but used very briefly in previous saves so it messed my entire game.

He then banned me of his discord and patreon.

Yes, I admit it, I downloaded a game for free because I can't afford to pay $25. I was planning to pledge a small amount to show some gratitude in the future but now it's impossible.

Does anyone also experienced this?

I have lost the count about how many reasons DPC has used to ban people. Let's check:

- the patreon/discord username is the same as the f95zone username: CHECK
- Praising DPC: CHECK (yes, this is real)
- suspecting the user is using mods: CHECK
- mentioning F95zone on discord: CHECK
- criticizing BADIK: CHECK
- criticizing DPC: CHECK
- using pirate versions of BADIK: CHECK

All of them has been naming in the thread during the time I started to read it... And all I can say is is DPC is a diva

In fact, among the hundreds of discord servers avn probably DPC is the only one that bans so actively and constantly. Even Icstor, despite all its odiousness and ambiguity, did not do that.
This is actually an example of HOW NOT TO DO IT when you become a developer.
I really like the guys at Inceton Games in that sense. They are always open to any suggestions, you can always talk to them, they take any criticism calmly.
But on the other hand their games are...let's say very controversial. Although they have a good scriptwriter now and I think they will do well.

Basically he became successful and he changed. He was polite and friendly on F95 while making AL, used to comment mainly from a guest account or PMs from what I remember. Didn't come across as arrogant or rude at all. Just excited and dead set on making what he wanted to make which aren't remotely bad things. Now he received a very negative reaction from a certain event in AL, including a few absolute mongs sending him abuse and death threats which was beyond ridiculous and not remotely deserved. But he's behavior didn't change after that which would've been very understandable.

It only changed after BAD became a big hit because shocker guy gets rich and changes. Then came the arrogance, seemingly arbitrary bans for shit like mild criticism and he's sudden hateboner against pirates and F95 in particular etc. All of which is going to rub people the wrong way considering the majority of his patrons were from here and likely still are.

i heard of a guy who not only was a patron but also gave an extra donation with a message praising the game, the next day he was banned.

His server in a nutshell:

Criticized even the slightest detail in the game? BANNED

Said you preffer one LI over the other? BANNED

Asked for the new episode's vault code while being at the $1 tier? Well then you're clearly a pirate who got the game early! BANNED!!!! (my case)
