Strange that he moved the status update to Thursday because of a specially announced... It's unnerving.

There's going to be a season 5 and add another four episodes to the expected sixteen total.

It is not so strange. To do both tomorrow would have been stupid. If you have something important to say in the announcement, the update loses meaning, and in fact it was the usual saying nothing in so many words. Either do it today or skip it directly
Funnily enough I also guessed that last week but I don't see how that's a bad thing? If that means everything in season 3 has now basically been told and we're getting a season 4 earlier that's nothing but good news.
At this point I get the feeling the game's "story" ends with Spring Break anyhow given the current pacing of episodes covering around two weeks of in-game time.

DPC knows how to whip up the hype, it may well turn out that tomorrow's release will not be anything special. Maybe tomorrow we'll laugh and make memes saying: but there was so much talk about this! And that's all?
It would be a strange decision to reduce the number of episodes per season with the standard 4 Ep/season scheme, but hypothetically it is possible.
General possible options:
1. DPC announces a collaboration with a new music band
2. Season 3 will get 3 episodes instead of 4 and Steam release is soon
3. Estimated release date for Episode 11
4. Some new ambitious ideas from DPC for the game development that are completely unnecessary.
5. Announcement that the next episodes will be released in parts because they have become too big.
6. DPC decided to kill MC and replace him with Madame Rose.

Well, hes making a big deal about announcing it on Patreon, so likely nothing to do with Steam.
Its probably gonna be a new super-duper high tier patreon where you'll get an autographed render of your preferred LI in whatever compromising position you want.

The rule for superstars must be: drop the bombshell news on Friday (so while your fans are raising hell because they're upset, you're on a tropical beach sipping piña coladas).

Fridays are normally the day on which DPC ‘communicates’, it wanted to do so this time too. and the ‘normal’ communication on Fridays was brought forward

why wouldnt you like that, this season ending at episode 11 and then whole thing at episode 14 + epilogues is the best possible outcome, unless if you are keen to wait for this games ending in +2030.Even episode 14 might get pushed that far now imagine episode 16...

The status update is one day earlier this week, as a special announcement is tomorrow.
I've worked on art this week and completed five scenes of varied length. And I'm currently posing animations for the last lewd scene of episode 11.
Everything is going well. The animation queue count is 62, and a couple of hundred static renders are rendering now, too.
At this moment, I'm up to a total of 6630 static renders for episode 11. We'll see how much higher it gets with the remaining scenes. My gut feeling says it will end up around 7000—it could be lower or higher, but it should be in the vicinity. I'll have a tentative animation count for the episode soon after finishing the lewd scene.
Art is the primary focus now, so there's not a lot more for me to communicate in this week's update.
I've also spent some time with preparations for tomorrow.

I'd be okay with Season 3 ending early, only if Season 4 compensates, so it becomes a meaningless distinction. But that isn't newsworthy so it probably won't be that

What would be the ABSOLUTE worst thing to be added in the game next update in your opinion?
Madame Rose becomes main girl? Wendy interlude? Chad/Troy becoming DIK version of Maya/Josy for MC as possible relationship? Option to turn minigames off taken out of the game? Making any previous saves broken? What!? Share your ideas!
Would love to see your scary answers and then hopefully feel good when nothing even close to it happens and everyones has mostly good time
