I wonder it too, this appears to be a extremely significant event for Maya's (and Josy's) storyline.

the document they have gotten is either going to be utterly useless in which case the failing to get it doesn't matter, or its the straw that breaks the camels back and will need to be solved ASAP. if it is important, the story cant move on with it really.Though I guess DPC could move forward with a Document recieved.Document not received path. Who knows? I think though given what happened at the dinner, Dereks going to get it somehow.

However, you will have to choose one path in EP 8, but that is solved with multiple saves (do prepare yourself for some heart breaking scenes though)

unfortunately I think there's still at least one stage of this via crucis missing, always hoping it's actually the last one: the counseling of Jill's lawyer, in teory it could also be resolved in the same chapter but I don't think it will go beyond the non-definitive judgement that Mc and the 5 LIs will give of Maya's documents.

then personally I remain convinced that since Maya's fate can't be tied to whether or not MC succeeds in retrieving the documents, it will all be in vain and in the end there will somehow be a redemption of Patrick.
