Big ol' disagree right here. Superficially correct—especially compared to Josy and Jill—but both girls are hurting very badly on the inside.
At first I felt sorry for
Bella, but then I thought about it and realized that she was the only one to blame.
MC,
if he pursued Bella romantically and gave up on her in EP.8, did everything he could to get closer to
Bella. No one can say he didn't try, but Bella either accepted
MC's advances grudgingly or didn't show how she really felt about
MC - she only admitted to having feelings for him in
EP.9, why didn't she tell him that sooner?
We, the players, know that
Bella has her demons and that we need to be more patient with
Bella, but
MC doesn't know that. After the terrible date in
EP.7 and
Bella running away leaving
MC alone in the middle of the street,
MC didn't have much reason to keep pursuing
Bella. Up until this point,
Bella had made no effort to be with
MC (she offered to help clean
MC's room as an excuse to spend more time with him and nothing else), in
MC's mind he certainly thought it wasn't reciprocated.
DPC usually punishes characters who don't dare to let people have their voices heard. He punished
Josy for not having the courage to say what she wanted and felt when
MC abandoned her and
Maya in
EP.4. He punished
Stephen for the same reason by getting him fired, having his marriage ruined and making him raise two children he didn't want. And lastly,
DPC punished
Bella (if she was abandoned in
EP.8) for not showing her true colors and letting
MC know how important he was to her.
I'm betting all my chips that
DPC will punish
Bella even though
MC is on her route. This thing about
Bella not knowing what she wants or what her and
MC's relationship means is very similar to
Josy and
Maya's situation.
MC has already shown that he has little patience for “dubious” relationships, like when he gives
Sage an ultimatum because he won’t accept being the
Rebound Guy.
MC must realize that
Bella is wasting his time and that she’s waiting for
James to come back. There you have it, the return of
Snowflake MC is complete.
