Come on, dude... Don't be like that. Is it absurd to wait over a year for updates? Yes, without a shadow of a doubt. However, saying that DPC took a sabbatical is disrespectful, to say the least. Name me a developer who works harder than DPC and delivers the same quality as him, name me just one... there are none.

DPC doesn't owe us anything, just as we don't owe DPC anything. Put yourself in his shoes, would you be happy to read a comment like yours after having worked all year, even when you were sick or in mourning? I don't want to play devil's advocate here, but show more respect. DPC is not just a developer, he is also a human being.

Well... to be honest I was expecting a Lily lewd scene inside the tent. But you know they just went to sleep. Another waste of opportunity in EP11 if you ask me.

I think the no Lily lewd in the tent was deliberate. DPC was showing that Lily and MC are indeed in a relationship. Being able to just spoon and sleep without sex like any other couple.

Well I was still having that problem but I figured out what the problem really was.

Turns out the Steam version doesn't have Season 3 out yet. That's why I kept getting those errors.

I don't get it.
I thought you have a problem at the beginning of Episode 1, with the game crashing even before letting you choose if turn minigames on or off.

What does this have to do with Season 3 being out on Steam or not?

I mean: Season 1+2 should be playable regardless of Season 3 whether you got them from Steam or from here.

The difference between DPC and others is that they are in unequal positions. DPC has an almost unlimited budget, it can buy music with a license of 100-500 dollars per song, while others cannot. He can spend $1000 dollars a month on assets while others can't. He can buy the most expensive equipment and not limit himself in rendering quality, others are forced to create average quality renders due to small budgets. As a result, games with a story, world, and characters much better than DPC's end up unnoticed.

I agree that his budget is not comparable with the rest of AVN developers, but DPC's rendering quality is totally average. Because budget does not influence rendering quality that much. Quality is not related to the quantity of GPUs you have. In fact there is plenty of developers with a single card that make better quality renderings, just look at other VNs, fan art or sites like DeviantArt. The aspect probably nobody can compete with him is quantity. Nobody outputs so much in the same time.
To achieve better quality he should pose more carefully, deal with problems, choose better lights and so on. That's independent of the number of cards and depends on human work (time and skills). Obviously a 4060 forces some limits and a 4090 facilitates a lot, but a single 4090 is also what DPC uses to pose and render static images. So the other developers are not in disadvantage regarding image quality, that's why DPC's renderings are often plagued with errors (most people do not even care about them, BTW).
While his skills on storytelling are better than average and do not depend on the hardware. Writing scenes and minigames also takes a lot of time and GPUs are not helping him in that.

How can a single 4090 "increase very much the renderspeed" when he has several 4090s? At least 4 because he states he's rendering 4 animations at the same time, an animation can be split on more than one PC, so at least he has four PCs (he has more, for sure). Adding 1/4 of GPU power increases very much, HOW? It that a Ferrari 4090 card?

Which will be the major factor how fast they can render besides the hardware. Other than that, last DEV Cycle in the last month the animation render speed was nearly doubled... magic? *shrugs*

And i never said "polishing" IS "beta testing"... i said he does "basically" beta testing his game already... if you like counting peas, you could say he is alpha testing, whatever... but if you want to hang yourself on some "phrasing" be my guest, it gets boring.

Honestly it’s not a big exaggeration at this point. She doesn't come across as just a side girl like Sarah or Mel do. The last two episodes if you’re on Others and a Quinn, Riona, Lily or Nicole fan their content doesn't feel less satisfying on their mini branch and it feels like Fuckface is actually heading somewhere with them. Riona was a highlight of Ep10 for example and if you choose to "roll" with Lily she's a girlfriend in that episode in all but name.

DPC committed to the Others path in a big way. It isn’t a throwaway source of lewd scenes. Quinn, Riona, Nicole and Lily in particular are treated well on it.

Imo it feels like there’s 4 layers of characters now.

Some like Jade or Heather may get their own little path as well. It's a good thing to see because it plays to the VNs strengths of characters and reactivity. A lot of the side girls like Quinn and Riona have ended up people's favourites and it looks like there will be a pay off for that.

Why would he use two or more 4090 cards for statics when a static is rendered in three minutes or usually less than two? Have you seen his average scenes? He needed just one for posing and render statics. But in your vision he needs at least two.

Then about January, no it's not possible unless he outsources the rendering process (he has never done that). Beta of last episode took them more than three weeks. This one has got more complicated free roams. So two weeks or more of Beta is expected based on past data. If you want to base predictions on actual data, of course.
