Could she had stayed really? She clearly went to the HOTs because of the Tuition reasons, it is after all how Quinn hooked both her and Maya. perhaps she couldn't afford to stay.

I suppose Burke could have somehow fiddled with the numbers to keep her scholarship in play, but unlikely given she embarrassed him and he would be getting nothing from it.

But having a loose end out there is an easy explanation on why Burke shits himself when a second girl comes talking of the "free Tuition" rumour, hence the call to Priscilla and then the conversation with Quinn in the office, which judging by her storming out, did not go well

Not true. Mona was already at the br and afterwards she finds out about the free tution, so a way to pay she already had. Then of course she was tempted by the money, but she was not there for that. Having fun with the hots would have been enough for her.
