Then there were several months of studying theory, soft for creating/editing fonts (which was all new to me, because before that I had never worked with vector graphics in my life). Then I remembered about conscience, morality and (c). I found the original font distributive, examined the license and tried to contact its author to get the kind of direct or indirect approvement or at least a kind of "blessing" to release a new improved font version under the old name or under a new one. Unfortunately, I was never able to contact the author. While using the contacts listed on the sites distributing free fonts and inside the font itself, led me to the site(s) which dissapeared during the COVID period. Audrey was released in 2016 and after 2020 it's author is literally dissapeared, her sites got suspended for not paying for hostings/domains and I was only able to view them in the Wayback Machine sites snapshots archive. After a moment's thought, I decided that it wasn't worth releasing an updated font under the old name, out of respect for its author wherever she was right now. But I also had no desire to invent a fancy or some pretentious name to my new font. I knew why I was making this font and where the approximate scope of its application lay. After all the additions/modifications it's not an 'Audrey' font anymore, anyway. It's based on Audrey design, but nothing more. All glyphs was reworked, 2 times more than original had was added (for now, lol) and most or all features and aspects of font was improved/fixed/resolved.
Any feedback, test, criticism, etc are appreciated. I would like to hear back from you guys as much as possible.
