I didn't expect Zoey's arrival to trigger full drama immediately, but neither did I expect so little to happen.
By the end of episode 10 we're at the point where the MC has finally told her what the viewer has understood for a while, namely that he was in love with her (you might even say he hasn't moved on entirely).
We don't get Zoey's response to this (in terms of how she sees things about their relationship), but all indications are that it's the same for her.
Either DPC gives us an episode 11 where not much happens, Zoey will eventually realize how she feels about the MC but they won't talk about it. Which pushes back to episode 12 the moment when they'll talk and decide whether to be just friends or more. Or maybe those long months of waiting have been put to good use, and we'll have a resolution to the future of the MC and Zoey by episode 11...
... and that's when we could potentially have some big drama when the MC dumps his MG for Zoey.
it is probably expected that Zoey is also moderately autistic like the other BR students, in order to be eligible for admission.
in the scene on the bench in the ninth chapter MC already discovers his feelings. i don't think riding around on a bike crying in the rain is the standard reaction to a friend estranged, the chat during the barbecue is even more didactic, to be even clearer MC should use drawings. MC doesn't really add much, while Zoey is still stuck at ‘I came back because I missed you’.
all this rehashing of feelings to the big drama of Zoey's escape into the woods, an escape that is canon and unrelated to any of our decisions, which then becomes very boring, extremely repetitive, even Zoey reuses the technique that had brought her so much good of not answering the phone.
in the eleventh chapter evidently MC returns to his hometown and meets Zoey (will he be the one to go and ask her what happened or will she be the one to invite him to clarify why she disappeared a second time?), something should finally happen, but can we really exclude that everything will be postponed again?
