Hmm... I find all of the discussion on the conclusion of Rio's predicament interesting. If I thought that I've learned anything about DPC's style of writing, it's that no choice in life (or this game) is simply black or white (affinity aside). I'm not so much as worried about characters being killed off than I am about them having fates worse than death. DPC can do much more damage than just ridding the game of a character or two.
Actually, I'd personally be unhappy if something bad happens to Riona. I may not have too much attraction to her overall character type, but she is exactly the kind of person I have ended spending my time with at many a rowdy party. Not the "far too drunk" people fighting/or trying to screw outside the bathroom stalls, but the person who just needs someone they feel safe enough around to just connect on a personal level or share a little bonding time with. It's amazing what people say/do/share with you if you just are willing to listen. Is it weird that I feel I know a lot of these characters IRL? In small ways, I have known a lot of these characters. Lol, it's... different. To say the least.

Yup that is why he promised in the steam discussions and on the discord, he will not kill MG in this game and riona is not a main girl sadly despite what a lot of people say otherwise

Did he promise? While I don't think anyone dying it is a fear I can't shake at the very least something worse then a kidnapping will happen I assume

Murder is such a trivial and cheap trick. Once again, DPС will sign off on being a very bad screenwriter. Then it will mean he just doesn't know how to advance a story or plot other than the usual murder.
I actually always knew he was a weak screenwriter, but I think after Riona's death it will become obvious to most of his fans.

Only reason I can think of is because they don't know. But that would only explain why the non-HOTS are partying. Seeing how important Riona is to the HOTs, they should have to know or at least expect something is up, even if Quinn hides it because she wants do deal with it herself.

It doesn't matter how the other characters feel about the story, it matters how the player himself feels about it.
Okay, the player knows that Riona is missing and possibly being held captive and possibly being brutally raped by drug addicts and then the focus is on planning a party for the new year.
I don't know about you, but I can't fully enjoy a party at a time when Riona is possibly dying. If

Yup he promised not to kill MGs due the reaction of many from AL, so Josy, Maya, Jill, Bella and Sage will not die.
However, he did not promise SGs, I know cause I asked him on steam many moons ago and he said BAD will not have the LI die.

I disagree when it comes to storytelling. Why would the main characters stop having fun times if they don't know that something terrible happened? It just makes no sense for their characters. Imo a logical story is more immersive than for them being out of character just because the player knows something is going on.

But there is a difference between an LI and MG/SG. Even side girls can become love interests.

Currently the LI are MGs and those that are confirmed to have paths in the others. At least from what I understood when I asked in disc.

He also said multiple times that he will try to contain himself, and we are now close to a 1.5 year of development time. So much for taking what he say as face value.

The opinions of the characters don't matter at all. The individual experience of the reader/player is always at the center and how they experience that moment will determine whether or not they quit playing in the future.
Imagine this: they show Riona with a battered face. The next shot shows MC having anal sex with Josy and Maya. How would you feel?
I personally would be very pissed off. Nobody does that. DPC will just show that he doesn't care about his own characters, doesn't care about his world.

Nah, I bully him so much in the past couple of day, here, that he Will announce the release date for february 14, at tomorrow, or monday.

I think riona does die, there was a bunch of foreshadowing with Riona like telling camilla, they will do something together in the future (Usually a death sentence), they start to go more into riona's personal issues despite being a secondary character, closely tied up to quinn.

Furthermore if Vinny wants to send a message for quinn to back down, nothing says more of a message than either holding riona hostage or killing her.

I doubt it, a young attractive college girl going missing(And possibly turning up dead) is only going to bring the wrong kind of attention to your drug dealing business. I don't think Vinny is stupid enough to kill her, he'll probably just give her a message for Quinn and then let her go

Do we know what other paths are confirmed? Some (like Quinn, Nicole and Lily) seem almost certain, while others I thought could be going there currently could go anywhere (like Riona, Jade, Zoey or Tara) and there is also a group that I think will go no further than FWB or one night stands (like Sally or Nora).

LIke I said before, I would still feel said about Riona, but I would still keep on playing because in character behaviour is way more important to me than my own feelings to stay interested.

Rio already told Quinn that she thinks she is being followed, and Quinn simply says youre not important enough to be followed.

Vinny killing Rio wont do anything for Quinn, heck i doubt she'll back down becouse of it. the only thing happening with Rio's death is that everyone else will get pissed and take on vinny themselfs.

But i hope this dark episode will finaly come to an end at da start of episode 11 and that we can go back to the humoristic side of BaD with a fistfight here and there at max.

As for me, i hope Rio Survives the whole encounter.

Quinn isn't a sociopath or psychopath that doesn't have any emotions or empathy towards others. She might do her best to keep people at a distance but she does feel things towards others. Her talk with Tommy on the roof during Halloween was a moment of realization where her actions have consequences and other people besides her are being affected by them.

Well then Riona & Lily should be main girls, and Quinn a side girl. heck it was 5 main girls till episode 8, Quinn became a others path after episode 8. so we should get one of the others as main girls during this season, and i vote for Riona & Lily, no offence meanth to Quinn lovers btw.

As of this morning, I have gotten all but a scene of Camilla and Nicole in seasons 1 & 2. I had realized I was missing a scene of Josy's during my Bella run and tacked that on to the same playthrough. FYI, Josy bursting into tears was not any easier the second time I experienced it than the first. "sighs" *Facepalms*

Unfortunately I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t get a Quinn scene because she will be to distraught about what happened to Rio. I hope I’m wrong though.
