I know the feeling. I've played so many routes and seen so many scenes with so many different girls, my mind is mixing them all up way too often.
Normal Others is the way to go for that imo, just for the most flexibility. I still need to set up a save without minigames with every single Others girl.
In all my 25-30 runs, I only went home once or twice at the beginning of my runs and never lost the shots battle.
