I know people were angry about "the choice", but I didn't read anything about them being angry for the LI to get another relationship.

I think I expressed myself wrong... I meant that DPC will not take anything he created in AL into consideration when creating Being a DIK (including pairing up with ex-girlfriends, deaths and heavy dramas).

Will DPC repeat the same scene of Josy knocking on Maya's door in EP.3 when they make James' return? MC will develop a phobia of doors if that happens.

Since there is a possibility that James won't have a big role outside of Bella's route, his return could be very anticlimactic and not live up to expectations at all.

It depends a little on what you mean by important outside Bella's run.

it will be a canon event, so in any case it will involve MC and the others, like Maya's loan. so it's not even said that MC's role will be marginal even if not sentimentally involved.

there's always the grim prophecy of the third chapter, so I don't think it's going to be a cakewalk

The thought has been on my mind for a bit when sage graduates, who will take over the HOTs?
Quinn is likely to be gone and Heather is likely the same year as Sage.

I believe it will be Elena taking over as President with maybe Maya or Josy being VP

James has to come back, otherwise the whole mystery would make very little sense. but it won't be easy at all, and DPC's lack of empathy doesn't make me particularly optimistic.

if James had actually been held against his will while doing something important, something ‘noble’ then Bella's character would come out with broken bones, there would be so much cheap drama (James desperate, Bella desperate, MC desperate...)

solutions to avoid this situation are possible (James deserter making a life for himself on the beaches of Phuket..) we'll see what happens in 2000never

Ah okay, I also like that. I wouldn't mind a harem ending in this game, but it should be either be with (near) everyone but extremely hard to get (aka some kind of "parody" ending, just like the dog ending in Silent Hill) because it simply doesn't seem to fit this game, or only with a small group of them (let's say 3 or 4 girls), with at most 2 (in case of M/J) or 1 of your main interest.

I'm currently going for a route that seems to fail for MC in the long run (no sex, get as low RP as possible with everyone, including the DIKs). That is going to be 1 bummer ending, if it doesn't lead to an early game over.

That last sentence will imo only happen if she and Josy either break up, or are in a massive argument beyond repair to their relationship. Josy will otherwise make her way less of a stuck-up.

The Halloween party & the jealousy angle were just too much for me. I'm curious if there's going to be a major difference between getting Riona here versus starting her content at the restaurant.

Ah I'll see it when i get there. I believe I'm currently at episode 6 or 7 with that run. I didn't even think about the jealousy angle, you would think she would have no interest in MC if you did nothing with her (so also no helping her at the prep house).

Then again, Zoey has no problem with talking about sex anyway. I'd rather take one of the other throuples confirmed, like Maya x Sage, Josy x Sage or best case scenario Lily x Nicole.

I'm pinning my hopes on EP.11. I don't expect the entire James plot to be revealed, obviously. But as you said, we know very little to nothing about James. I can't help but feel the same way you do.

We're heading into EP.11, if more details aren't revealed then DPC really has no idea what to do with James (maybe the original plans changed? MC's line in EP.3 about asking for help after kissing Bella hasn't been justified yet.)
