oh, please, You fucked up, it happens, own it,You two are party poopers![]()
Yes, the Patreon supporters enable DPC to take forever. You mix this up with victim blaming, but it is not. Just simple logic. The money of supporters makes it possible for the dev to develop continuously without losses. They are the regulators if a dev can do it, or cannot. If the flow of money stops, the dev will have to adjust. Not the supporter, but the dev. So in the end, while the dev does the work, the supporter is the one enabling it and thus has the most "power" in this relationship. Logically, if a dev gets bold, lazy whatever, the supporter can stop supporting him, signaling, that changes are needed. It is here, that the model fails, because most supporters are gullible, weak people, who are so addicted to the given product, that they can't come up with the balls to show who is the boss and support the bad behavior further, despite not being content. Thus, development times increase more and more. In some cases, the amount of content won't increase, or even decrease. Luckily, DPC is the type who makes bigger updates with more time given, at least so far. This update will show, if I err or not.
so i gotta download two mega files? no single download availavle?Download Season 1-2, then once you've finished the end of episode 8, download Season 3 Interlude and Episode 10

Yes. No.so i gotta download two mega files? no single download availavle?
Gdrive & Gofile can handle those as single DLYes. No.
But seriously, what do you expect when a single episode of this game is larger than many ENTIRE AVN games out there? A single super-mega file to cover it all is simply not practical.
Of course it would be good for Quinn to get leverage on Lily. But the stuff about getting knowledge on the prostitution ring and stuff all happened back in Ep 6 or 7. Where their relationship is by the end of Ep 10 when Rio gets taken is a whole new world with those two. You're right about we'll see what happens in the future. That's why I'm just theorizing these things now. I absolutely am aware that I could be so dead wrong.Quinn asks Tommy about trusting Lily since Lily came into knowledge about the prostitution ring, and while yes it is fully possible that Lily might become Quinn's partner in the future, such remains to be seen, and Quinn is still not including Lily in her business by episode 10, if Quinn does so in the future, we'll see. Lily herself said that it must be frustrating for Quinn not having anything on her, but Lily being aware of the prostitution ring and drug dealing means that she does have something on Quinn, it would be a good idea for Quinn to try and find leverage on Lily.
And for realism in drug dealing, Buddy being a supplier doesn't want his subordinates wasting their time fighting each other, as they're supposed to be bringing him money, not competing with each other for the same clients. When did I ever even mention an "equal share" of any market? The market is divided between his dealers, how equal it is, is irrelevant. Buddy has his dealers divided into particular market shares so that they don't compete with each other, the size of said market share is not elaborated on, besides noting that they exist. Seems like a fairly basic concept. Like just basic simple organization. Do I really have to explain this shit? They literally talk about who's territory they're on when they're talking at the party, and Lily and the other strippers were on Vinny's turf, B&R is Quinn's turf, it's literally stated in the game.
And it's not a question that Buddy is involved with Rio's kidnapping, you literally see Mick (who is Buddy's muscle) helping Vinny kidnap her, they use Mick's blue van that Mick was using to stalk Rio.
has a DPC cliffhanger ever had an impact? like the big pregnancy scare that turned in to an Arieth comedy, or the ep1 "Maya tazed you" that turned in to a partySee i don't purely cause it'll kill her as a LI.
Episode 11 will cover at least a month (after thanksgiving to christmas), being kidnapped for a month will fuck her up royally. Victims who've been kidnapped for a weekend have said it's ruined their life and have PTSD. Fuck, being bundled into the back of a van is enough to fuck someone up.
DPCs problem now, someone is gonna be pissed. It's either gonna be "why did you ruin a perfectly good character" or "What was the point of the cliffhanger if it has no impact"
You could say that Episode 3's cliffhanger led to a decent amount of branching: having fun with Sage at the HOTs house, getting closer to Bella, sucking on Derek's toe like a pacifierhas a DPC cliffhanger ever had an impact? like the big pregnancy scare that turned in to an Arieth comedy, or the ep1 "Maya tazed you" that turned in to a party
I was just talking about limiting factors like a collar. Of course devs can adhere to a tight schedule wo. supporter pressure, case B. But by not having enough supporters creates a bottleneck that slows development, case C. So even if the dev would wan't to speed up development, thanks to missing funds, he won't be able to do so. So my point stands, if push comes to shove supporters are the ones who can influence release cycles, not the dev. This doesn't mean, a dev can't, but the final limit is always the supporters non-funding. DPC moves currently in the D case direction, sadly.Yes, the Patreon supporters enable DPC to take forever.
DPC still has the option of releasing updates every 6 months (or whatever) rather than pushing the wait until his income starts dropping.
For a 2 year gap between updates, you need both a tolerant supporter base, and a slow/ambitious dev.
Supporters have the power to demand that the dev shortens release cycles, but only the dev actually has the power to do so, and that power isn't stripped from them by their supporters being willing to tolerate them not doing so.
Imagine 4 devs: A releases updates every 3 months, and has demanding supporters that hold him to that schedule. B releases every 3 months, despite having tolerant supporters who would continue funding him even if he took much longer. C releases every 2 years, and has barely any supporters, but used to have demanding ones. D releases every 2 years and has tolerant supporters that continue funding him.
Your argument appears to be that neither B nor C are possible - that it's impossible for a dev who knows they have tolerant supporters to keep up a rapid release schedule, nor for a dev who loses support to keep up a slow release schedule (particularly if, like DPC, they've already earned enough money to retire on).
i think both have their hands on it, and you see both having a sort of serious look, so they must be feeling another hand and it's gonna turn out either in Tremolo's favor..or totally painfull 1 second laterView attachment 4595865
