As someone who doesn't likes Throuple at all (hence no MC Tommy feud), this episode made Tommy favourite frat brother second only to Derek. Loved how he backed MC when Nick started gaslighting MC. Alongside WWTD and Tommy gushing how party is awesome because how he taught me.

Just tested it and for some reason I couldn't practice the song for Jill. Went through my saves and fast-forwarded to get the 1st time. The 2nd time only gave me a bit of trivial dialogue and the third time wasn't even possible at all.

It does seem to be a Jill-only thing then.
If you're talking about practicing Jill's song for the Episode 8 performance, this is not true (unless DPC patched it after 0.8.2). You can absolutely practice the song even if you never make a move on Jill (beyond the required tennis date).

You need to practice the song at least twice (I think), and you have three opportunities to do so: once in Episode 4 (in Derek's room, Sage's room, or Bella's house depending on where the MC is staying), once in Episode 6 (during the first free roam in the MC's new room), and once in Episode 8 (again, the first free roam in the MC's room). There are other times when the guitar is clickable, but the MC won't feel like practicing then for reasons. You have to practice during those three opportunities, but they are not gated otherwise.

[Sadly, the new phone obscures the whole screen in Episode 8, but take my word for it, that's the MC practicing in Episode 8.]

As long as you get the practice in, the MC can play at the concert and help Jill get past her stage fright regardless of whether he's on her path. There will be more interaction with her if he is on her path, though.

What was your Gift distribution on various runs? For mine Lily one only Derek and Bella got very nice. Sage calling Lily "someone like her" didn't go well with him.
I did different mix and matches ones on every paths, mainly because I wanted to see the difference between the 2 levels and getting nothing between various girls.

The one I'm most looking forward to is on my Josy favored throuple, I get really nice for Josy and nothing for Maya. :devilish: And getting a nice one for Bella, and a really nice one for Jill on my Bella cheat path. :devilish:

Though passing Early Jill checks enables MC to tell Jill to change songs.

Fair enough, that's sort of my problem with it though. Treating Maya well shouldnt mean you are treating Josy badly (Necessarily). The far more logical thing to do would have been to let you go date both, tell them both you love them and then have them break up and make you choose. What's the point in allowing you to be balanced, even to the point of commenting on it at Halloween and then having one of them drop out because someone called her basic and the MC hugged the other one. It's a silly way of handeling and it make me not want to pursue that route.
Agreed 1000% dude. It was already my least favorite route but now I don't even want to play it. I just read your statement as if you didn't know what made you get the Maya solo scene instead of Josy. I had the same issue so I looked at it with URM and found out that being a good boyfriend to Maya switched the variable for me from Josy to Maya several times during the dinner.

So helping Maya the best way during thanks giving which I do in my all runs of which none is Throuple or even into Maya switches Josy to Maya. Damn that's crazy.

Already didn't like throuple due to conflicts with Tommy.

Now this is even more of a mess. Thanks for info though.

Even Nick and Nikita are literally the same names. Maybe for a reason. And she seems to be a Chick allinged romantic path rather than some Fling with Vixens
When I say "Fling", I don't mean the usual fling/one night/fuckfriend. I'm talking about the cute "We shouldn't, I promised my brother I would never date a DIK... but I like you so much". Which would work very well with the "Chick aligned/romantic path". I call it a fling because I still have doubt there would be an endgame with a new character, this late in the game. So, it might be cut short (because of Nick, maybe Vinny since he's probably close to the family.. maybe she just feel bad for her brother)

I kinda doubt that a new character that will only be named in Ep12 (likely), and with whom the MC only shared a few sentences and some looks during Science class and 2 parties, would become a real LI. There would need to be a big reason why she become so important, so late.

Yes, she seem super interesting. Yes, she's very cute. But it would still be weird to give her significant importance, this late, instead of the other 30 LIs (little exageration, I don't know the number but with the "Others" route, it's getting there).

You're still on her path bro...you didn't reject her. That was my point. If you say that you might not be right for her, you can't practice anymore.

Throuple was my main route because of Josy, but god this chapter turned me off. The constent pushing for choosing one of them instead of the other (or at least, not including the option to chose both), when the whole point was that the 3 love each others. I like Josy, but I want Maya and Josy to be together. When she finally can do it, it feel like the MC is just breaking them up instead and create jealousy.

For Tommy, even when you're in the throuple, he seems to come around and playfully call you "Sisterfucker".

I think initially Tommy got really upset since you kept it from him instead of coming clean. Which let's be fair, a lot of us would feel rubbed the wrong way.

Although at the same time, Tommy does like MC and appreciates him for everything he has done for the frat. So he eventually moves on, accepting that if his sister does end up dating someone, MC is probably one of the better options since he doesn't really boast about it or mock Tommy over it.

Just my perspective on it though.

It only took me about an hour and a half to catch up on the last day's posts - you're slipping, people!
Alright thanks, so one more season to go, I'll wait until then to play the game
Depending on whether episode development times continue to grow the way they have over Season 3 so far, it could easily be 2035 before the game is finished (on a linear growth projection). If you assume geometric growth, it'll be even longer; if you assume the growth will slow down, it'll be sooner.

If each of the five remaining episodes take only as long as episode 11 to develop, then the last episode will release mid-2031.
What's the ETA for the official guide for chapter 11? I've missed shedloads of renders on the free-roams.
According to the latest update from DPC, it's sometime after next Friday (21st) and the general release of the episode.

Derek cutting his finger off reminds me of SNL version of Good Will Hunting, lol. Just the same thing.

The new girl being Nick sister that would be the dumbest idea that DPC would add so far. We have been dealt with all girls dramas so far. It is time to have something fresh. If she would happen to be his sister, I wouldn't even care about her. The moment she tells me that, I tell her to f.. off. Even if things aren't Nick's fault, he even criticized the furniture that MC's dad brought to the mansion.
That is not other DIK's words, that is his words. Imagine your dad who isn't wealthy but is a hardworker, see that his son and friends are having a problem and try to help and then someone shit on your dad's help. The other things he said I don't even care, but this part specifically, he deserves no forgiveness, that just shows the kind of person he is. And with that I don't want any more interaction with him even if he come back and apologize. I can accept apologies, but I won't be friendly anymore.
And I wouldn't want any link to him either, I can find pussy anywhere. It is not like MC is lacking any.

the one thing that made me appreciate Tommy was the fact that even though he was pissed at the mc for getting head from heather he still defended against Nick. Also, even though he was pissed, the worst he did to MC was give him the silent treatment. Which is a lot less than he did when he found out mc was banging his sister

When it comes to the minigames, I find they're mostly fine when you're only playing the game once or twice, but when you're repeating the same game over and over with every path you play, it drags increasingly.

If I were in DPC's position, I'd consider offering an option to skip minigames with the highest previous score for that particular version. Obviously there's some minor issues with the mansion repair and party planner minigames that integrate into the rest of the game, but, for example, having to type out the same list of words again and again and again and...

I don't remember when, or the exact words, but Tommy said it best (during Season 2 I think, or maybe at the start of Ep9?): "I don't want any guys sleeping with my sister and use it to make fun of me after".

His 1st reaction make sense: MC is a DIK, he's probably a fuck boy, I don't want him to use my sister. But when you are in the Throuple, you are usually respectful, and you don't mock Tommy with it.

And Josy is pretty adament that she's happy and it's none of Tommy business. She's also room mate with Heather and with how Elena talk about Josy's feeling for MC, Heather probably have the same impression and told Tommy.

You mean if you fail to bring Bella around and then tell Jill to stay away from you? Interesting. I'd never tried that route but it looks like switching those variables does lock out the guitar practicing. I didn't know that was possible.

That said, my save was not on her path by that point. Failing to make out with Jill in Episode 5 ends her path, but apparently not her musical ambitions. Strange, but evidently true.
