Sage is someone who can hate a person easily solely based on her prejudice, just look at Jill because of what Tibalr said or look at Lily when you say she's from Pink Rose at thd beginning of the game.
It would be easy for her to make friends with Zoey if she just talked a bit with her (like shat happened with Jill), however the problem is that at PP Zoey admitted she wanted MC back and also said she doesn't care he's already in a relationship. If MC says to Jill/Sage she did that, there will be hell to pay.
In short: Yes, thd initial hatred is Sage's fault, but it's Zoey's fault they will almost certainly not become friends after all.

I think Sage will be pissed even if the MC tells her that Zoey said she loved him even though he rejected her. This would prove that even though the MC rejected her because he was loyal to Sage, Zoey came back with ulterior motives. Sage won't like it either way. There's no winning with Sage.
