Im not sure why the student who cheated NEEDED to be in MCS class - The cheat sheet might have been designed for the exam the preceded MC's (unlikely the cheats would have been disposed of) or an exam that followed it (possible and they were just planted earlier in the day) again reaching... but its not really a given that the cheater HAD to be in one of MCs classes
I will admit that is probably likely that the cheater is in fact in the MCs class, but its definitely not a forgone conclusion
We know that if MC flushes the cheats, Anderson cheats in English but not Math, while if he doesn't, they cheat in both. That suggests that they took the English test before the gap between MC's English and Math tests, and the Math test after. Combine that with the tests being the same, and being marked by the same teachers, and it's extremely unlikely that Anderson wasn't in the same room as the MC for the exams.
Standard practice is for tests taken at different times to be different, if in small ways, so that people leaving one can't pass on answers to people coming in for the other.
I think you are not getting my point no matter how much I explain it to you. So I guess I will just put this aside.
But as a last attempt, just think why would you put answers for a 'Intro to Math' test into a cheat if you are not taking that class or test? The answers for 'Intro to Math' would ONLY be used for a 'Intro to Math' test, not any other test. So why would a cheat have answers for a 'Intro to Math' test? Unless you would usually answer questions about history with '1+1=2'
You seem to be assuming that the cheats were created by someone for their personal use. If someone (Magnar, for example) has hacked into the school systems and got hold of information about the exams, they could put together an answer key for a wide range of subjects (or copy ones the people who created the exams put together) and hide those assembled answers for other people to use.
No I think we are thinking about this in different ways - you see for me Im not seeing it as the cheat sheet was specifically a question & answer type of document. Afterall, How would anyone know which questions were appearing on an exam (again this is a plausible explanation that the cheater had indeed seen a question list and built a sheet around it)
but I am thinking more about it being a generic cheat sheet with notes, answers, formulas etc that cover a wide range of maths so could be used to help cheat and find answers to a lot of maths tests
As I recall, Bella only detected the cheating because Anderson gave the right answers to the wrong questions, which suggests that the cheats are just a list of answers, without even the questions as context (and that Anderson has an extremely good short-term memory, to go to the toilet once and come back with all the answers they need for that exam).
