Just saying it right now,

I think I understand Stephen a bit more. While yes Jade is hot, she is extremely heavily toxic towards anyone other than her children and even then they still get some of her toxicity.

While talking with the therapist or psychiatrist, stephen mentions about jade not really caring about him and how she only does what she thinks is best.

Not excusing him cause he is still a POS, but I understand that a toxic SO can make you go crazy especially a toxic narcissist like Jade.

When it comes to the children Jade only seems to be toxic towards Tybalt, not so much towards Sage. And yes, as everyone (I hope) can agree, Tybalt deserves it.
Also even though I agree Jade acts toxic towards Stephen, I don't think if we know if that happened before or after he was after fired. Even so, imo his old boss is way worse than Jade in this regard and if I were Stephen I would've acted way earlier by blackmailing his colleagues/call in an inspection on his company by the authoritieis. Him failing to do so made him (again imo) way more extreme and cause the actions he took at B&R.

The way she treats Sage sounds normal to me. The only thing she does wrong is how she treats Stephen. Yes, Stephen deserves it in current time, but I don't believe we don't know when exactly she started with it. If I remember correctly, he was already being corrupted way before she went toxic on him.
