The DIK's Rooster account's session is opened only in the laptop. That's why Tommy accuses him of posting the cluck, and moves for banishing him, et cetera.
Rusty's phone or even Tommy's don't log in through their phones. Then there's his lack of justification and recollection about having the laptop at that moment and so on. And that is because no DIK really posted it despite no one "coming clean": the laptop must have a worm that was developed by Magnar.

I like both theories.
Just in the Magnar example, I wish there was a better reason for Nick being with the laptop alone in the library when the Cluck was posted. (I wholeheartedly disagree that he was jerking off...)
That part fits better with the idea of secretly letting Vinny in through the window to do the deed.
