I didn't mean that there was a connection with the restaurant and the drug dealing. I meant that if Quinn is making extra money from the important clients, then she should be able to use that money to insure that she is never short in paying back Buddy. Tbh it almost seems like a plot-hole, is no one using the restaurant aside from the MC?
Sorry I was a bit vague there. What I meant is that in order for Stephen and Quinn to start the restaurant they would have to have a different kind of corrupt connection and with Quinn the only other option would be drugs. I favour the idea of Stephen not being involved in that for reasons I mentioned. Thus the only thing connecting Stephen and Quinn is the restaurant and that makes way more sense if it has been going on for a long time. If Stephen is used to having to work with difficult girls because there is no one better it's more believable for him to work with someone like Quinn. The idea that he would just take the risks of starting an illegal venture with her has more glaring holes than a mouse filled wheel of Swiss cheese.
It also fits better with Quinn's money troubles if her big client cut is small and that makes more sense if Stephen is calling the shots. In other words if Stephen has been in the business longer and Quinn is a newer employee.
Great points, I don't believe it though. The marriage was on it's last legs anyway, more financial freedom sure, I also think he wants to be able to use his students more freely, now he wont have to sneak around as much.
I think Stephen might be a bit arrogant.
The marriage has been rocky for ages so why would Stephen only do something about it now? He has to have a new reason for a divorce. MC doesn't count as his relationship with Jade isn't canon and it can be done without Stephen getting the evidence. What new thing has happened? Mona and Maya risking the exposure of the restaurant.
I wonder if it's gonna be that easy. If he has powerful friends then I think it's likely the investigation will get shut down, pretty typical story beat. Maybe MC and the gang need to work together to bring the entire thing to light and get the people responsible arrested.
In which case the powerful "friends" take care of him themselves.
We might have to separate the restaurant and the scholarship, otherwise this makes no sense. Sage has been at the college for 3 years, been a HOT presumably since the first year and not once has she ever heard of this prostitution ring that several of her sisters are involved in? No rumors before she joined, no sister ever accidentally told her or hinted at it, no guy who uses the restaurant ever asked if it was her on the other side of the gloryhole? etc. Makes more sense as a recent thing, otherwise there would be more rumors.
Seems more probable that Quinn joined the HOTs, became VP and then used her position to start the restaurant. The scholarship thing could've been going for awhile with maybe Stephen more or less directly approaching students that he guessed would be receptive/desperate for help with tuition. Quinn was one of them and decided to step it up a notch.
DPC confirmed hack writer if this happens.
Not if the girls before Quinn's era were better at keeping things on the down low. Things getting risky now is mainly due to Quinn's recklessness, but this would be true if the previous manager was simply better than her. If the argument is that it couldn't have been a thing in the past because everyone would know about it then the whole thing is so inherently risky that Stephen would never have gotten involved.
It is actually canon that Stephen is very cautious in business matters and so it follows that the restaurant was a solid business until Quinn got reckless.
By better, it means getting to know the sorority girls to get a vote from them.
This is how Lily came to know about the restaurant/drugs because there is very little secrecy regarding that topic and why many people believe that Lily will be somewhere in the HOT leadership come the epilogues.
At the current story almost all girls know:
- Camilla (New)
- Riona
- Mona (New)
- Lily (New)
- Melanie
- Sarah
- Quinn
- Elena (Suspicions: She tells you this if you chose to be with Mel and Sarah after halloween)
The only ones that may or may not know about the prostitution is Heather (She knows about the drugs tho) and Arieth (Nobody tells her anything tbh).
So that is 5 vs 2 older members in the HOTs excluding Sage that is either suspecting or knows about the pimping out.
The only way Stephen would order the HOTS was to have Quinn and order them through her, but this is a discrepancy since Quinn got the VP with Sage and its confirmed that Sage was the mother to Quinn. So its more likely that during the first year of Sage presidency and Quinn VP, Stephen reached out to Quinn after reading her file and proposed the restaurant in exchange for financial gain (To the sorority or to her).
There was a different girl in charge before Quinn. Stephen told that girl to make sure Sage got the presidency. In the previous years there were other girls in the sorority who have now become alumni. Practically none of the current girls were there when Sage became president. Speculation on a completely unknown set of characters holding elections is an argument so lacking in any evidence that it is utterly pointless.
