Josy , : just like any other girl in the story, works very well, when MC is in a relationship with her. But when he is not, while other girls, have their own "life" and problems, and even if mc not part of this relationship it's still can serve as minimal sub-plot for them , minimal because even for them, Maya'S overarching storyline is the thing that bind them to be sudedenly are part of a "main girl club" . - after all , even for a 36 years old teacher, Her friendship circle is a bounce of college student
- so, Josy does not had the luxury to be more than that , that's not the character fault, that is the writer fault , who nearly reaching of the endgame of the game, when he realized wait a minute, "may be I should at least try something with this character too"
The funny thing is that He himself, had written a perfect build up, even a well written episode that could already shift and change things, in episode 7 , if Josy end up joining the Hots because she wanted it in the first place , and not for the wrong reason aka, " they will pay my education "
what should have been distant her from her relationship centric story with Maya and star a personal journey for her.
but thanks to his previous masterful writing skills he then realized that this could on the other hand fuck up the love path with the " fake lesbians " , since there was not much progress on that front either.
but hey all good, because we got, so much important stuff instead, like updated mobile phone, with usels features, and new mini games, and a madam that you can waste your money on it etc etc

Breaks any pacing, as DPC just wants you to go talk to people, some optionally, mostly in the same environment (the frat house), sometimes with different kinds of arrows and highlighted objects. Which all can be done without guessing where to go to make his magical logic continue the story.
All so I can go hunt for a series of either hidden or mangled books? Whoa, stop me when we're having fun.

For me one choice shouldn't exist without the other. Simply because too much stuff happened between them.
I don't know what DPC thought back when he made episode 5 but he didn't do shit with this choice for 5 episodes but because he couldn't get rid of it, he gave it a meaning. Now you can't have ep 10 choice without ep 5 choice and the one from ep 5 exists simply to give hope to first time players. Without it, ep 10 choice would feel a bit out of nowhere but game would be fine if the one from ep 10 was the only one existing.
Now imagine if choice in ep 10 didn't exist. You enjoyed your time with Maya or Josy in season 1 and picked option about still having feelings in episode 5 but then nothing happens for 5 episodes. Other girls pick your interest and while playing Others route you like Quinn or Riona or Nicole etc. and suddenly MC blurts out "I still have feelings for you" during the hangout with Josy or Maya and you as a player who don't feel this way anymore can just watch it happened.
You as player should be able to back out from the early choice. It's not as serious situation as the one with Sage and Jade for example where you like your new ginger girlfriend but can't undo handjob from her mom from episode 3.
